White House instructs ICE to conduct dozens more workplace raids to round up undocumented immigrants.

Most heartless presidency in history!

Courtesy of CNN:

The White House has told ICE officials to conduct dozens more workplace enforcement operations this year, a senior immigration official with knowledge of the conversations told CNN.

The news comes on the same day that President Donald Trump said raids like those in Mississippi this week are a “very good deterrent” for undocumented immigrants.

Shortly after the raids in Mississippi that led to the detention of at least 680 undocumented immigrants, US Immigrations and Customs Enforcement field offices across the country were instructed to identify at least two locations in their regions as potential targets for workplace enforcement operations, the source said.

Those operations can include criminal investigations, business audits and raids.

This week’s raids led to a series of heart wrenching images and videos of family members — including young children whose parents were detained — reeling from the arrest of their relatives.

This is just brutally inhumane.

And you watch not one single business owner who hires these undocumented workers will be arrested or even fined.

This is not about curbing the hiring of undocumented workers, this is about punishing immigrants who dare to come to this country seeking a better life.

Update: Keep in mind that we were warned.

If only people had listened.

When he tried to forcibly remove her clothes, the girl tried to resist him and he forced her to perform oral sex and then raped her on the hood of a car.

Despite acknowledging the horrific nature of the attacks during the teen’s sentencing, the judge made a point to mention his athletic accomplishments.

Children across the country are terrified of returning to school in the wake of multiple mass shootings, but Trump has no idea why they would need to be comforted.

On Friday, Trump was asked to address children’s concerns about being shot as they head back to school for the fall in the wake of a weekend of mass shootings.

But Trump seemed not to understand why kids are increasingly anxious about their safety at school and could not muster any words of comfort.

“Go and really study hard and someday you’ll grow up and maybe be president of the United States or do something else that’s fantastic,” Trump said. “They have nothing to fear. They have nothing to worry about.”

What’s really bullshit is that we’re currently experiencing a labor shortage, specifically an unskilled labor shortage.

Immigrants are the answer to this. How different would things be if we welcomed them, gave them case managers to help them find housing and jobs? I bet a lot of struggling businesses would be happy to have these workers. Trump’s an evil prick. He’s hurting our economy by his willful racism.

I completely agree with your comments, Anonymous at 12:30.

However, since the criminally complicit employers of the undocumented workers are getting away with breaking the law, while the hard-working immigrants themselves are being punished horribly, along with their families, I do hope these businesses go under and/or bankrupt, if that’s possible. When will people realize that elections have consequences! That Trump was and always will be a con-man who cares only about himself, his corrupt business “empire” and his daughter Ivanka.

I’m also upset up by our tax dollars being used to bail-out and make whole, farmers who are affected by Trump’s tariff wars. Yeah, yeah, the farmers say they’d rather the free market work it all out without Trump interfering. Well, Donnie won’t stay out of ANYTHING and I’d venture to guess most of the now suffering farmers are GOPers. Aren’t you farmers glad to accept corporate welfare? How proud to be bailed out by a con-man liar of a president who caused your problems in the first place. Donnie says you love him and farmers are patriots! How many people have you criticized or mocked over the years, for receiving any type of help? Well, farmers, now it’s your turn…now we taxpayers can call you out for being hypocrites. Awful to admit, but I don’t mind paying more for food or anything else for that matter, as long as the hypocrites suffer also.

Trump thinks he’s clever for not acknowledging that it’s really the U.S. importers who pay the tariffs, not the foreign suppliers. Or maybe he really is that stupid. He may think that we fall for his lies that the U.S. is raking in millions or billions of dollars in this tariff war. Trump is, after all, a business failure who has never succeeded at anything, except maybe promoting his phony self.

And most of the money is going to the big conglomerates, not the small farmers that need it.

I agree, employers who exploit illegals should be punished severely. But only the ones who exploit them by paying them less than minimum wage and holding their illegal status against them. I honestly have no issue with a business looking the other way at a valuable employee that may have questionable legal status as long as they are doing everything else right, like treating them the same and remitting payroll taxes just as they would someone with a valid Social Security number.

One more thing about illegal immigrants people don’t get is that, as a whole, they tend to pay into income taxes with zero hope of getting a return. And they also won’t get Medicare or Social Security that they’ve paid into, either. At least not legally until they are citizens. And all the money they paid into before does not get counted when or if they ever draw Social Security or are able to file for an income tax refund.

But I bet a lot of honest small businesses would love to have the cheap labor that immigrants are ready and willing to provide. It’s a shame, because this could be a win-win situation if it were handled better.

Even legal immigrants that are on visas, not green cards, pay social security, taxes, medicare etc and cannot collect

    • Anonymous August 12, 2019 at 4:23 pm

A real easy fix of course would be to issue more visas for this type of work, most folks don’t know that there are quotes on visas for agriculture and unskilled labor etc

Wait until the so called businessmen can’t find labor because Americans don’t want these jobs, then trump will back down, because they are going to go bankrupt just like donnie and they will not be donating to the ” i only bankrupt companies” donnie.

Also when are the raids on trump organization businesses going to begin?

Who in the WH is giving the orders, I have a feeling Steve Miller is behind a lot of this. trump is too busy watching fox and friends to come up with a list of companies to raid.
