White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows on Monday walked away from reporters who objected to him taking off his mask before speaking to them.

“I’m not going to talk through a mask,” the Trump deputy said before walking off in a huff.

Multiple reporters credited CNN’s Kristin Wilson for objecting to Meadows taking his mask off. Wilson confirmed that Meadows refused to speak to her with a mask on.

Meadows has been in close proximity to several White House officials, including President Donald Trump, who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 in recent weeks.

Meadows was not the only one who potentially placed journalists and his fellow politicians in danger.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) on Monday was in attendance for Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s Senate confirmation hearing ten days after announcing he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Lee, one of a number of people in President Trump’s orbit who recently tested positive for the coronavirus, was seen at the Senate’s first day of confirmation hearings for Barrett on Monday, NBC News reported. The senator announced his coronavirus diagnosis on Oct. 2, at the time saying he had started to experience symptoms a day earlier. He said he would “remain isolated for the next 10 days” but vowed to return in time for the Barrett hearings.

I have no idea why Mike Lee was even allowed in the building after testing positive to the Coronavirus.

It would seem obvious that he should be kept far away until it was certain that he did not present a danger to others.

As for Mark Meadows, what a fucking baby!

I don’t know if it is some macho bullshit, or just some GOP group think, but the idea that you cannot speak clearly with a mask, while reporters are doing it all around the world, is simply ridiculous.

There is a reason why this virus is infecting more Republicans in Washington right now than Democrats and it is not because God is testing their faith.
