That opening from Adam Schiff today set the tone for this hearing making it more enlightening than the hearing earlier in the day.

Mueller’s earlier testimony was judged by many to be somewhat catatonic and bumbling.

There were still signs that Mueller was uncomfortable, tired and perhaps feeling every one of his 74 years, but it was still a better performance overall.

Here are some of the highlights courtesy of Twitter.

The lies about Trump Tower deal.

On Russia’s continued interference in our democracy.

On Trump’s response to Russian interference in the 2016 election.

On Trump giving credibility to Wikileaks during the 2016 election while they were sharing stolen information from the DNC and John Podesta.

On the fact that Trump lied on his written statements to the Mueller investigators.

I think this is from the first hearing but here was Mueller revealing that Trump lied about the fact that he applied to replace Comey as the FBI Director.

That is really going to burn Trump’s ass.

And finally on what Mueller wants people to learn from this investigation.

Trump supporters and the right-wing media are already framing this as an epic fail for the Democrats and the end of any impeachment talk, but I would seriously disagree with that assessment and say that though the hearing could certainly have been more informative we learned some very interesting facts, and had things we already knew confirmed out loud and in public.

This is certainly not the end of anything, and in fact I think it is just the beginning of the next chapter.
