Well, she wasn’t wrong.

I get especially pissy with people who suggest that Hillary Clinton did not do enough to expose Trump’s true nature to the nation.

But she goddamn called him a Russian puppet to his face during a national debate.

And guess what, she was fucking right!

If that pic of lard butt grinning at Putin in Paris isn’t an indicator, I don’t know what it is, and that’s a mere drop in the proverbial bucket.

Nothing like an electoral college for discouraging people from mattering equally. It was a tool for the 1800’s, a tool for the time.

      Exactly!!!

It’s another of the checks and balances on the government to keep too much power out of certain hands. If not for the Electoral college, a few super large states could take control of the federal government and dictate US laws and policy. That scares the heck out of the more numerous, but smaller population-wise States. The big difference is the smaller States are more rural and their priorities are way different than the larger population sized States with large metropolitan areas. The Electoral College insures that to win, a candidate must appeal to some of the smaller States to win. It’s basically the same reason that the House members are determined by population size, the bigger the more Reps you get and the Senate is equal, 2 Senators per State. This gives the power to small states in the Senate and large States in the house. So to get joint bills passed, the large states and small states each get some say in the matter. Last election the small states had their say, which is exactly why it was set up this way. Clinton ran a bad campaign as she ignored the small states convinced the large states would pull her through. Even Bill said it was a bad strategy.

The real tragedy of the last election was that voters were stuck with two such flawed candidates to choose from. Clinton had more to overcome than many will admit and it really hurt her with undecided voters to have the Primary so obviously stacked in her behalf. Many voters refused to vote for her because of it. Many hated the fact that since Bill got out of office, Hillary was basically handed everything on a platter from her Senate seat to her Secretary of State job all grooming her to be the de facto first woman President. Unfortunately, she was the wrong candidate to get behind. So we end up with the shit head we have in the oval office now.

I think that Hillary Clinton did everything that she possibly could have done.

She was ignored by the national media during the campaign which, when it did mention her, went after the nonexistent emails. The US media couldn’t wait to see Donald Trump in the White House. What a joke, they thought. How much fun. Little did anyone in the media realize just how dangerous the prospect of Trump as president would be. I really think the US media, owned, let’s face it, by Republicans, had no idea of the depths of depravity, ignorance, venality or corruption they were bringing down on the American people. Remember that the New York Times, in the waning weeks of the campaign, opted to chase those fake emails rather than look at the Russian intervention into the campaign. We are now paying the price for giving the media so much fodder.

For someone that calls the media FAKE News and enemy of the people, the sure were falling all over him during the campaign… millions of dollars in free airtime and they allowed him to phone in his “interviews” and never fact check any of his lies.

It took them almost two years before they began questioning any of their lies.

Have you seen Vice yet Beagelmom?
This presidential powergrab thingy has been in the works for a long time. Its a long running game designed to see if US Democracy can be turned no an authoritarian regime. Its fascinating if it wasn’t so scary. But now that I understand it, it is plain as day.

Also Hillary had a security clearance at that time and I am sure she had access to intel about trump and the russians that the public did not.

I just wish she had turned around and said something to him when he was stalking her during the debate.

Why is this man still in office? Is it now permissible in the United States of America for a sitting President to openly align themselves with a foreign government while badmouthing their own? It is difficult to imagine any other President, acting in this treasonous way, being allowed to remain in office as long as Trump has been.

    • Whatevs January 15, 2019 at 5:41 am

Look to what the Russians have on McConnell and his wife. There has to be something more than party over country at work here.

      • anon January 15, 2019 at 5:49 am

The Russians are fully aware that evangelicals have been rendered impotent, and so will do anything believe anything vote for anything. EVANGELICALS ARE LIVING CORPSES.

      • Rolex January 15, 2019 at 11:59 am

I’m a firm believer that we have many Russian agents in our government, and citizenry in general.
The U.S. has been fat, happy, and asleep at the wheel for many years.

    Ocasio-cortez 2024.
She will end all war, socialize earth, remove all international borders, rid the planet of weaponry, get everyone in accord with nature, reduce world population by 50% by getting people in accord with nature, shut down the internet and get people involved in their communities, and end all suffering through compassion.
There will only therefore be a requirement for “soft” politics, for purposes of friendly utility. Elections will last only 72hours, NO political parties, everyone working together in accord. And, no evangelicals, obviously – who largely created all mans errors through their ignorance.

Thanks, Alexandria! Put this all on one bill and get it passed by MLK Day.

“The elder Kushner hired a sex worker to seduce his brother-in-law Bill Schulder, then filmed them having sex in a motel and sent the tape to his own sister, Esther. The bizarre plot was an attempt to blackmail the Schulders into keeping their silence about Bill’s knowledge of Charles’s fraudulent activities.
“This was a family matter, a matter to be handled by the family or by the rabbis.”
Charles Kushner pleaded guilty to 18 charges and served 14 months in a federal prison in Alabama.”
