The pastor of a Northern Virginia church where President Donald Trump made an unscheduled visit over the weekend has explained why he publicly prayed for the president, acknowledging to his congregation that “some within our church … are hurt that I made this decision.”

“Sometimes we find ourselves in situations that we didn’t see coming, and we’re faced with a decision in a moment when we don’t have the liberty of deliberation, so we do our best to glorify God,” Pastor David Platt of McLean Bible Church said Sunday evening in a statement to church members titled “Prayer for the President.” “Today, I found myself in one of those situations.”

Hours earlier, Trump’s motorcade made an unannounced detour to the church while returning to the White House from Trump National Golf Club in nearby Sterling, Va.

“President Donald J. Trump is visiting McLean Bible Church in Vienna, VA, to visit with the Pastor and pray for the victims and community of Virginia Beach,” Judd Deere, a spokesman for the White House, said in a statement on Sunday, referring to the mass shooting at a municipal complex that left 13 people dead, including the gunman.

Platt explained in the statement to his congregation that he had been caught off guard.

“At the end of my sermon at the 1:00 worship gathering, I stepped to the side for what I thought would be a couple of moments in quiet reflection as we prepared to take the Lord’s Supper,” he said. “But I was immediately called backstage and told that the President of the United States was on his way to the church, would be there in a matter of minutes, and would like for us to pray for him.”

Trump actually has a history of crashing parties and events and was famous for it while still living in New York.

Franklin Graham had promised that Christians were going to pray for Trump on Sunday so Trump showed up to receive his prayers.

Trump is essentially a sociopath and only cares about what he wants so he very likely did not even consider how his sudden appearance at this Virginia church might upset church members of the pastor himself.

I kind of feel bad for this guy, I mean how do you say no to the president of the United States when they suddenly announce that he is stopping by?

” GOP lawmakers held a fundraiser for the proposed creation of a 51st state called “Liberty,” a “Christian state” that would “span parts of Washington and Oregon, as well as Idaho, Montana and Wyoming” and be based on biblical law.

The movement to create a Christian state in the Pacific Northwest is being led by Washington state Rep. Matt Shea”

Our values matter. What values (or ideals) do you most cherish? And how do we de-prioritize money?

I also feel bad for the preacher. You get told the President of the United States is coming in a few minutes and wants to pray with you. How many would dare refuse?

I’d like to think if it were me, I’d be able to stand up to him and say that I would be happy to pray with him if he would repent and start modeling his behavior on Christ. But Trump would retaliate. And I’d probably decide to not drastically have my life altered by a Trump Twitter tantrum. And so I’d go along to get along.

No one wins in an encounter with Trump, expect Trump. He is a disease.

“So most of you saw your taxes increase?
The reason, something called a per diem. In the past, truckers could deduct things like food and daily expenses from their taxable income. Now with Trump’s new tax bill, they no longer can.”
“That made an $8,000 difference.” To bad, So sad.

“You can say, ‘But I was born that way.’ OK, well, fine, but nobody’s forcing you to engage in that relationship, even if you were born that way.”

“The statement is not an apology.

It begins with him calling himself a “Bible believing Christian.”

He goes on to explain that “one man I had never met said the Bible in 1 Corinthians calls for a man having an affair with another man to be put to death.”

Wednesday morning Hill did post to his Twitter account an opinion piece published in a far right wing website. It’s titled, “Florida Rep. Mike Hill vs. the gay establishment,””

    OT?
“The case against the Rise Above Movement, which was investigated by an FBI agent who specializes in domestic terrorist groups, illustrates the difficulty that federal authorities face in prosecuting domestic extremists.” “Roughly half of the potential domestic terrorist attacks “disrupted” by the FBI end in arrests on state or local charges — and the charges that are brought federally often don’t match the magnitude of the alleged crime.”

FB EXCEPTS>”Guns save lives, says the hashtag.
    They do, sometimes.
But far more often in America, they take lives, dozens of lives, hundreds of lives, thirty thousands lives per year on average. The number of lives saved by guns, compared to the number of lives taken by gun violence is a ratio so wide as to be utterly insignificant.”
“For Conservatives like Chase, BEFORE a gun death isn’t the right time, DURING another mass murder isn’t the right time, AFTER another slaughter isn’t the right time.
It’s NEVER the right time to talk about gun violence, never time to take action. Never. And every time, they wag their tongues and demand, “Have you no respect for the dead.”
    Why should I?
Why the hell should I have any respect for the dead?”
“Look here, in America, mass murder IS a political statement.
That’s right. Mass murder is a political statement.
In America, gun violence is a political statement.
In America, every single citizen who falls to gun violence is a political statement and it is that way specifically because gun fanatics have MADE IT SO. So don’t you dare try to admonish me about standing on the bodies of the dead to make a political statement. They wouldn’t BE dead if not for YOUR fucking politics.
These are YOUR chickens that have come home to rOOst.”
“I’m out of patience with this empty bullshit and it is long past time to take action.”<Jim Wright

Women who don’t want to give birth to anencephalic babies are selfish murderers. Men who won’t give up their deadly toys are freedom-fighting patriots! They’ll not do anything to save an embryo, but once it grows into a child facing a mass-shooter, it’s on its damn own.

The pastor got played by Trump. I wouldn’t be surprised if a good portion of his congregation leaves his church. The fact that he apologized to the congregation means he got an earful…not from members who were “hurt” by what he did…but members who are furious. Big difference.

King David faced the same as Trump and God told the world touch not my annointed. Any president even Obama who did nothing for the good of the American but all to the power for stealing America and organizing it so the muslims could successfully destroy it unlike 911 failed to cause another much criticized President, Bush, retaliated just as Trump saved us from North Koreian Leader’s missiles he was shooting at America which had he continued he may have destroyed this USA. This man linked us to God’s Holy City by moving our embassy to it (Jerusalem) and this time making it known to the world that it is the capitol of Israel . That is the will of God. And interrupting his trip to pray for a bunch of folk he did not even know shows human compssion for others surely he could have done better things with his time, yet that preacher prayed lies to God with a phoney prayer and back stabbed Trump after he left shows what a big stinking hippocrit he is and claims to be a man of God being for the people and sinning against God trying to Justify it by claiming to be put on the spot as a way to justify his dishonesty and cowardism. But anyone can lie and claim to be of God’s Holy Spirit Man of God these days, yes all kinds of folk do and few were chosen by God yet many claim they were even as kids. God knows his Children we hear his voice and OBEY as Trump did and you do not.Pay attention to the live reporting channels of the actual events instead of following the popular crowd and you will be supporiting the truth instead of anything most people make up or get only a glimpse of the truth mixed with lies. This is the almighty only creator of all earth and all and anyone who dwells under his sky including the dead and if America dont’ wake up before it is too late Their future will be nothing but pain and struggling no matter where you graduated from or how many man made degrees you have you can still be an ignorant fool led by others rather than the truth. Jesus will return and Jerulsalem is where the new heave is going to be (read revealations) and you nor your little sinful groups cannot stop the will of God so wise up and go get saved and stop living on God’s earth in total stupidity and blindness. Most of what Presisdent trump did was for the Good of GOD and country, Beware
