Two Texas hunters accidentally shoot each other and then attempt to blame undocumented immigrants.

Well, that is just fucking pathetic.

A hunting guide and his client accidentally shot each other and then blamed it on undocumented migrants, police in the US have said.

Officers attended the scene at a remote south Texas ranch, near to the Mexico border, in early January, finding the two men bleeding from gunshot wounds. A second guide was involved in the incident, but escaped without injury.

The casualties, guide Walker Daughtery, 26, and client Edwin Roberts, 59, and the other guide, Michael Bryant, told police they suspected the shooters were undocumented immigrants they had seen on the ranch earlier in their trip.

Their story was shared thousands of times online after Texas Commissioner of Agriculture and Donald Trump ally Sid Miller wrote about it on Facebook.

But police and a grand jury have now concluded the men were lying about the incident, and actually shot each other.

Investigators believe that Mr. Daughtery became paranoid that illegal immigrants were inside a vehicle with Mr. Roberts and his wife and attempted to get inside without saying anything, prompting Mr. Roberts to shoot at the door.

Mr. Daughtery then ran back to his cabin to grab his gun and to get backup from Mr. Bryant, and together they opened fire on the truck.

Damn, that might be one of the most Texas stories I have ever heard.

This is what happens when the president of the United States using fearmongering to freak people out about immigrants.

The next thing you know people start thinking they are hiding under their beds, or lurking in a darkened car in Texas.

This is a presidency built on indecency, amorality and falsehood.
Former secretary of state and chair of the joint chiefs of staff Colin Powell said, “I see no threat requiring this kind of deployment,” and he’s right. It’s a flim-flam charade that could cost taxpayers up to $10 million a day, a cynical political stunt steeped in resentment and hate.

    “Barbed wire used properly can be a beautiful sight.” Trump honest-to-God said that on Saturday. {Rocks=Rifles tOO}

Let that sink in for a moment. Land of the free and home of the brave.

He says such things even though the United States is a nation of immigrants, a society made up of people from every other country
His lack of historical knowledge and refusal to learn the lessons of the world are deadly DANGERous.
Tuesday will be our chance, on a nationwide basis, to steer our – OUR– country away from a further descent into madness
As Abraham Lincoln said in 1862, “WE MU$T DI$enthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country.”

Vote. Vote. Vote. Tomorrow. yOUR lives depend on it.

I’m beginning to believe God is suffering from erectile dysfunction. I mean, come on, he hasn’t fathered a immaculate conception in over 2000 years. Maybe a medical check up to test for low T, and he’s way overdue for his prostate exam.

“About “200 unregulated armed militia members [are] currently operating along the southwest border,“ says a planning document for Army commanders leading the 5,200 troops Trump has deployed at the border, according to Newsweek. The groups “operate under the guise of citizen patrols supporting” border officials, the document says, pointing out “reported incidents of unregulated militias stealing National Guard equipment during deployments.”

The U.S. Border Patrol late last month warned landowners in Texas to expect “possible armed civilians” to come onto their property because of the caravan”

Cesar Sayoc, a former male stripper, pizza delivery driver and disc jockey who lived in a white van festooned with right-wing political images supporting Trump and lambasting his critics, faces a maximum penalty of 48 years in prison.
“Our political leaders, like our President Donald Trump, need to recognize that there are many sick people in this country who take their rhetoric and words of ‘War with the Media’ and ‘War with the Democrats’ to heart,” “While I have not lived with my son for 35 years or even heard from him in over four years, I cannot express how deeply hurt, sad, shocked and confused I am to hear that my son may have caused so many people to be put in fear for their safety,” Madeline Sayoc wrote, according to excerpts ABC published on Sunday. “This is not how I raised him or my children.”

I don’t buy the grand jury reasoning either. Why was his wife in a dark car with the client? Sound like he got jealous and went at the client. The client shots him, so he runs and gets his gun to shoot the client.

You know this story is almost 2 years old. But it is posted here like it’s current. Thank you for posting your source but proving the timing would add contest. It feels like propaganda this close to the election.

No, honestly I did not see that it was two years old.

I am usually very careful to check the dates for articles that I post, but this one slipped past the old radar.

Still, Trump was vilifying immigrants back in 2017, so it still works.

I will, however, be more vigilant in the future.

This was one of the original “fake news” stories used to plant the idea that a border crackdown was necessary.

BTW Did you know the caravan babies are also already pregnant?

      SNL has the scoop!

“Thompson explained the dire situation approaching from the south: “We’ve also learned that all the women in the caravan are more than nine months pregnant. And they’re holding the babies in until the exact moment when they cross over the border. Then they are going to literally drop anchor. And the babies — get this — are pregnant.””

In what alternate universe is this to be considered an “accidental” shooting? Oh, yeah, in Texas.

    • anonymous November 5, 2018 at 7:35 pm

It was an accident they got caught!

Blaming shootings on brown people from south of the border usually get-it-dun!
