Boy, is Trump having a bad week or what?

Courtesy of Reuters:

The attorneys general of Maryland and the District of Columbia on Tuesday formally demanded financial records from U.S. President Donald Trump’s businesses as part of their lawsuit alleging his dealings with foreign governments violate anti-corruption clauses of the U.S. Constitution.

The attorneys general issued subpoenas to the Trump Organization Inc, the president’s privately owned real estate company, and related corporate entities.

The flurry of subpoenas came one day after U.S. District Judge Peter Messitte in Greenbelt, Maryland, began the case’s discovery phase, which allows litigants to demand answers to specific questions and production of sensitive documents.

The U.S. Department of Justice, which is defending the president in the litigation, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Keep in mind this is not part of the Mueller probe, and that he probably has had access to these records for months now.

I swear there is not enough popcorn on the planet for all of this.

“There is only one problem with Trump’s China deal.

The deal doesn’t exist.” “Vanity Fair went beyond the reporting in The Times and called Trump’s talk a $cam.”

“incredible deal” that could only have been secured by the dealmaker in chief himself. “It goes down, certainly—if it happens, it goes down as one of the largest deals ever made,” ” the fact that the dinner didn’t conclude with trade adviser Peter Navarro spitting in Xi’s face or flipping over a table and yelling “prostitution whore!” is cause for relief.” ” “$how HE is No. 1 priority is the appearance of being a great dealmaker.
~IT~ doesn’t matter to him what the details are, as long as HE lOOks strong to his supporters.”
” Trump seemingly believes that his “deal” for a 90-day truce was a massive WIN, and that he’ll get what he wants out of China eventually. If that doesn’t happen—and there’s a good chance it won’t, given Beijing’s post-summit comments—President Art of the Deal is liable to act out even worse, particularly if advisers like Peter “Death by China” Navarro are still whispering in his ear.”
