The U.S. Space Force (USSF) late Friday unveiled camouflage uniforms bearing the branch’s first nametapes for its members.

“The first #SpaceForce utility uniform nametapes have touched down in the Pentagon,” the service branch tweeted from its official account, attaching a photo of the uniforms.

Well I think you can identify the problem almost immediately can’t you?

Apparently, in space nobody can hear you blend in with your surroundings.

The Space Force account actually responded to some of these comments, explaining that most of their people would be working on the ground here on earth and they wanted to blend in with other military folks.

And that, of course, raises the question as to why members of the military wear camouflage when they are working in an office environment or walking around in urban areas?

I’ve never understood that even though I live in Alaska where men with beer bellies wear camo to buy food at Taco Bell.

This Space Force idea is ridiculous, and clearly they are geting off to a laughable start.
