Trump supporting Twitter account attempts to refute news reports that he called Meghan Markle “nasty” with video of him doing exactly that.

Social media ridiculed an official Donald Trump 2020 campaign Twitter account on Saturday for pushing back against what it inaccurately dubbed “fake news” reports claiming Trump called Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle “nasty.”

The account, called “Official Trump War Room,” lashed out at CNN early Saturday for allegedly misrepresenting Trump’s remarks about Markle ahead of the president’s planned visit to the U.K.

“Fake News CNN is at it again, falsely claiming President Trump called Meghan Markle ‘nasty.’ Here is what he actually said. Listen for yourself!” the Trump 2020 campaign-managed account tweeted, alongside a captioned video of Trump’s exclusive interview with British tabloid The Sun.

“Meghan who is now Duchess of Sussex, we have given her a different name, she can’t make it because she has got maternity leave. Are you sorry not to see her because she wasn’t so nice about you during the campaign. I don’t know if you saw that,” the interviewer can be heard asking Trump in the clip.

“I didn’t know that. No. I didn’t know that,” Trump responded. “No, I hope she’s OK.”

The interviewer noted that Markle “said she would move to Canada if you got elected.”

“A lot of people are moving here. So, what can I say? No, I didn’t know that she was nasty,” the president said.

I am not even going to tell you how long I scrolled through the “Offical Trump War Room” Twitter page convinced that it must be a parody account of some kind, before realizing that no, no it’s not.

They are in fact dead serious and seem completely unaware that they refuted their own argument by not only including the video but following it up with a tweet of the transcript.

And then just when I had convinced myself these idiots were serious, Trump himself weighed in:

I am not sure if Trump is referring to this Twitter fail or some other equally sorry attempt, but clearly nobody caught any of the news outlets “cold.”

The best I can determine is that the argument is that Trump was suggesting the Duchess was saying nasty things about him and was not nasty herself.

However, the actual Sun headline read “Donald Trump shocked Meghan Markle was ‘nasty’ about him but says it’s great to have an American princess” so I am not sure how they refuted anything.

At this point, I am not sure what I find the most troubling, the fact that we have a guy in the White House who constantly makes insulting, racist, or misogynist comments, or that there are so many people willing to tie themselves into a pretzel trying to defend those comments.

Actually, they are both pretty troubling.

I actually listened to the tape twice because I was confused since I definitely heard him call her nasty. I thought if they said this clears him, I must have misunderstood, but nope, he said it and they must be as stupid as he is.

He really has absolutely nothing nice to say about anyone, except maybe his handler, Putin and his new buddy formerly known as rocketman, until he sent donnie a nice, very big letter.

It seems that he can say whatever he wants, do anything he wants, that the average person would come up on charges for.
Teflon Don, and I’m still rooting for the major cardio infarction that takes him OUT. Sorry, Jesus.

Do we know if Janet Jackson regrets having Trump-adoring Antonio Sabato Jr featured in her Love Will Never Do Without You video? She should reshoot the video.

Trump’s plane had not even touched down when he tweeted that London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who has been highly critical of the red-carpet welcome laid on for Trump, was doing a “terrible job”.
The president called the mayor a “stone cold loser”,
“Kahn reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, (Bill) de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job – only half his height.
“In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom,”

tinydjt tweets>Just arrived in the United Kingdom. The only problem is that @CNN is the primary source of news available from the U.S. After watching it for a short while, I turned it off. All negative & so much Fake News, very bad for U.S. Big ratings drop. Why doesn’t owner @ATT do something?

I believe that if people stoped using or subscribing to @ATT, they would be forced to make big changes at @CNN, which is dying in the ratings anyway. It is so unfair with such bad, Fake News! Why wouldn’t they act. When the World watches @CNN, it gets a false picture of USA. Sad!
