Trump lashes out at Don McGahn on Twitter after reports that he rebuffed White House requests that he lie about obstruction.

This is clearly in response to that story on Friday reporting that White House officials pressed McGahn to say publicly that Trump never attempted to obstruct the Mueller investigation. (Link)

It would seem to be a very bad idea, in my opinion, for Trump to be attacking McGahn while he is currently resisting a subpoena from House Democrats to testify before them.

I would think that would make McGahn far more willing to spill his guts.

Trump actually sent out several tweets this morning, though most were somewhat bizarre retweets or quotes from Fox News shows.

However he ended his morning tirade on a familiar note.

The rantings of a mad man, the White House edition.

I rarely agree with Deadbeat Don, but it was most definitely one of the most consequential elections in the history of the United States. We’ll be years undoing the disaster.

Yes, ma’am, but, in my 62 years on this rotating orb, I have learned that those like him who consistently proclaim innocence and project are the most guilty. It’s a neener neener neener thumbing of the nose because he knows he will never be prosecuted nor impeached. On this Mother’s Day, my heart aches for my grandchildren and what they’re going to have to live barely out of the gate because of the likes of him and his ilk.

See Bob investigate. Read Bob’s report. Wait, Bob, what? Speak, Bob, speak!

“I would really encourage people, even those who aren’t lawyers, to pick up and read the report. It’s more readable than you might think.”
“The weight of public opinion could change,” – if Americans were to become educated about the report, perhaps through hearings on “what is really in this report.”

“It goes back to the Clintons.” “That, truly, is a travesty and truly is unconstitutional and is the root of the problem we should be addressing,”

“Trump said he wanted his Roy Cohn, he’s got him now in the attorney general,”
Bernstein described the crisis as “systemic,” not constitutional, arguing Trump’s conduct is “challenging whether our institutions are able to function in this country to deal with the president of the United States who is unique in our history, who has nothing but contempt for democratic tradition and the rule of law.”
