Trump demands that American companies stop doing business with China.

Courtesy of NBC News:

President Donald Trump on Friday said he was ordering “our great American companies” to “immediately start looking for an alternative to China, including bringing your companies HOME and making your products in the USA.”

Trump also said he was ordering all U.S. postal carriers, including FedEx, Amazon, UPS and United States Post Office, “to SEARCH FOR & REFUSE all deliveries of Fentanyl from China (or anywhere else!).”

The White House did not immediately respond when asked if the announcement, delivered in a four-part Twitter thread Friday morning, constituted an official order from the president.

It was not immediately clear how or under what authority the president could implement these declared orders, or whether he had already done so.

This is apparently in response to China’s declaration that they would slap retaliatory tariffs on 75 billion in US imports.

Which of course is their reaction to Trump’s tariffs directed at their country.

I would suggest that somebody needs to remind Trump that he is a president and not an emperor, able to order his subjects around at will, but considering that he just called himself the King of Israel and the “Chosen One” I somehow doubt he is able to be reasoned with anymore.

Though this news might get his attention.

Stocks ended sharply lower Friday as the U.S.-China trade war intensified further, after President Donald Trump said he’s ordering American companies to start looking for “an alternative to China,” while readying additional measures after Beijing imposed retaliatory tariffs on imports of U.S. goods.

The Dow ended more than 600 points lower by the time the markets closed.

That is the kind of news that might shake even the most ardent Trump-supporting business conservative.

In 2011, Trump hosted “Donald J. Trump’s Fabulous World of Golf” on Golf Channel.

In a clip obtained by The Washington Post, Trump is seen telling a group of golfers, “Even these spoiled, rich Jewish guys, they can’t believe how good this [course] is.”

OMG, trump is managing to not only destroy the USA, but crash our economy in only 2.5 years, what a great businessman.

He also doesn’t seem to know or care that China owes a lot of our debt, just what until they ask for their money!!

So after he crashed the stock market, did he go play golf for the weekend, costing us another few thousands of tax dollars.

100000 deaths? That seemed extreme. But yes, it is generally in the approximate ballpark-ish!! That is simply stunning. STUNNING.

Is he blaming China for the US drug problem?

“Such unilateral and bullying trade protectionism and maximum pressure violates the consensus reached by head of China and United States, violates the principle of mutual respect and mutual benefit, and seriously damages the multilateral trade system and the normal international trade order,” China’s commerce ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

“China strongly urges the United States not to misjudge the situation or underestimate determination of the Chinese people,”
