Trump comes to the defense of embattled Alaska Governor.

President Trump on Wednesday threw his support behind embattled Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy as a recall effort against the Republican intensifies.

“My friend Mike [Dunleavy] of the Great State of Alaska, is being treated very unfairly by the Democrats because he is doing an unbelievable job and fulfilling every one of his promises,” Trump tweeted.

He added: “Now they are trying to Recall him because his agenda is the Economy, Jobs, and protecting, our Military, 2nd Amendment, Energy, and so many other things that the Democrats don’t care about. Please stop the Dems from hurting a very good and hard-working man!”

After months of budgeting discord in Alaska, a group called “Recall Dunleavy” launched an effort back in August to obtain the necessary number of signatures needed for the recall vote to move forward. The group accuses Dunleavy of refusing to appoint a judge, misusing state funds, violating separation of powers and incompetently vetoing state funds.

The group needs to collect signatures from 10 percent of the people who voted in the general election for a recall to go ahead. Dunleavy took office last December.

This was Dunleavy’s plan from the start, to garner support and raise money from outside of Alaska to fight the recall.

I don’t know what Dunleavy hopes to gain by pinning his hopes on Donald Trump, but I for one completely support his attempts to attach himself to a president who is rushing toward impeachment, and who is destroying America’s trust in him on a daily basis.

From my point of view that does nothing but help with the recall effort.

“I mean, what planet is he living on?” she asked incredulously. “That he thinks reading this transcript for the American people is going to help him in any way? There are a lot of Republicans who say the transcript is bad, and sure they’re saying it is not impeachable but if he thinks this is a good defense and someone has to get to him and say ‘we need have to have a chat here.’”

G>OP Rep. Vicky Hartzler Helps ‘Conversion Therapy’ Group Hold Capitol Hill Event
Your tax dollars hard at work!

The members, which included two survivors of the Pulse nightclub shooting, held their event in the Cannon House Office Building ― a prime location to reach influential Hill staffers and members of Congress ― right next to the office of Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), who is the sponsor of a bill to outlaw conversion therapy. Lieu told HuffPost that he wrote the nation’s first bill to ban conversion therapy while in the California legislature. “My goal with the California bill, and now my federal bill, was and is to end a for-profit practice that is unscientific and harmful,” – “Homosexuality is neither a mental illness nor a developmental disorder and anyone seeking to ‘cure’ LGBTQ people is committing fraud,”

Changed…Bet Not. “Conversion therapy reinforces internalized homophobia, anxiety, guilt and depression,” “It leads to self-loathing and emotional and psychological harm when change doesn’t happen.” Truth Wins Out, which fights against “anti-gay religious extremism,” & The medical community remains firmly against conversion therapy.

“No credible evidence exists that any mental health intervention can reliably and safely change sexual orientation; nor, from a mental health perspective does sexual orientation need to be changed,” concluded the American Psychiatric Association in 2013.

In response to the group holding this event in the Cannon Building, Rep. John Yarmuth’s (D-Ky.) office, which sits directly across from the room where the forum took place, hung a rainbow pride flag outside their door.”

    FB>”Don Young head-butted a reporter’s camera because he didn’t want to answer a question.

    A US Congressman.

    Head-butted a camera.

Because he didn’t want to answer a question from the public.

    Head-butted a camera.

This comes a month after Young was forced to apologize for physically assaulting another reporter, and year after he was again forced to apologize for verbally assaulting a congresswomen.

Don Young is a racist. A sexist. A violent dinosaur who doesn’t think he has to answer to the public he’s supposed to serve. Young is an embarrassment to Alaska, to Congress, and to the Republic.

This guy doesn’t just need to removed from office, he should be in jail.<Jim Wright

    @alyse4alaska
Mr. President, perhaps you should leave this to Alaskans.
Gov. Dunleavy’s cuts are devastating education, healthcare, and public safety in our state. It will take years for Alaska to recover from the damage that Gov. Dunleavy is inflicting on our communities.
Meanwhile, Representative Don Young remains silent while his campaign trail buddy trades the future of our state for short-term political gain.
Alaskans deserve representatives who fight for them. I will always stand up and put our communities first.

Dunleavy towers over 6’3″ Donald Trump. I guess Trump forgot to wear his lifts that day.

RurAL CAP has their funding administered through the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) and in August Governor Mike Dunleavy line-item vetoed $5 Million for AHFC’s weatherization programs.
