There is a plan to get the Queen of England out of London if the Brexit vote results in rioting.

What is that phrase again? “God save the Queen?”

If Britain crashes out of the EU, and things go bad in London, Queen Elizabeth II will be ready to make her own exit — to an undisclosed location.

The U.K. government has repurposed Cold War emergency evacuation planning to prepare for the chance of violence and mayhem following a no-deal Brexit, and the need to protect the royal family, the Sunday Times and the Mail on Sunday reported.

Fears of Britain making a disorderly departure from the EU have spiked in recent days following a vote in the U.K. parliament demanding that Prime Minister Theresa May renegotiate the Brexit Withdrawal Treaty to change the backstop provision on the Northern Ireland border.

Neither May nor leaders in parliament have put forward a specific alternative proposal and EU negotiators insist that there is none because the issue was discussed exhaustively at the bargaining table. European leaders around the Continent and senior EU officials in Brussels have said there will be no renegotiation without a substantial shift in U.K. red lines.

Man you know you have voted for a risky proposition when the fallout possibly endangers the life of the beloved monarch of the country.

Ths Brexit decision has been as disruptive in Britain as the election fo Donald Trump has been here in America.

And guess what, both of those bad decisions were supported by Russian trolls.

What a coincidence.

Is it just outside of Britain that people can see another brexit vote should be held?
I think we KNOW how a 2nd vote would turn out.
Doesn’t it just make you wish WE could have a 2nd vote?

It has been Putin’s intention all along to destabilize western countries. He’s doing a great job. I think he was also behind the “gilet jaune” nonsense in France last year. It’s really so pathetic. Russians still haven’t a clue how to emerge from a totalitarian state so they’ve opted to ruin life for everyone else. Like a petulant child. Like Don the Con, the puppet installed here.

Considering the majority of the people didn’t understand what they were voting for and all the problems it has caused it seems like the smart move would be to have another vote, this time without the russians “helping” decide the vote.

I agree but, since Theresa May won’t call for a new vote and won’t resign, it seems unlikely.

I hope Elizabeth II follows her own mother’s rule about leaving the country at a time of crisis: “The children won’t go without me. I won’t leave the King. And the King will never leave”.

    Screw Putin

I doubt that the article meant leaving the country. I think it meant going for a visit to Windsor Castle or Sandringham or another royal location.

Putin is having a heyday on this earth aint he? Thats what his corrupt 240 billion could buy? Mayhem and chaos? I guess it isnt in the russains dna to help others with their ill gotten gains.

Sounds like pay back for England saying No to Russia long long ago. Pay backs a bitch. Shrug.

OT? “Where is all this hatred coming from? Is there any significant difference between left-wing and right-wing antisemitism? What role has the anti-Zionist movement played? And what can be done to combat the latest manifestations of an ancient hatred? ” January 29, 2019

The Queen had nothing to do with that disaster of a decision. It’s a shame she’ll be made to suffer for it.
