There are now reports of sexual assault by guards at one of our concentration camps in Arizona.

The poor treatment of migrant children at the hands of U.S. border agents in recent months extends beyond Texas to include allegations of sexual assault and retaliation for protests, according to dozens of accounts by children held in Arizona collected by government case managers and obtained by NBC News.

A 16-year-old Guatemalan boy held in Yuma, Arizona, said he and others in his cell complained about the taste of the water and food they were given. The Customs and Border Protection agents took the mats out of their cell in retaliation, forcing them to sleep on hard concrete.

A 15-year-old girl from Honduras described a large, bearded officer putting his hands inside her bra, pulling down her underwear and groping her as part of what was meant to be a routine pat down in front of other immigrants and officers.

The girl said “she felt embarrassed as the officer was speaking in English to other officers and laughing” during the entire process, according to a report of her account.

Earlier reports from investigators for the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General from the El Paso and Rio Grande Valley sectors in Texas detailed horrific conditions for children and other migrants held in overcrowded border stations where they were not given showers, a clean change of clothes or space to sleep. The reports from the Yuma CBP sector describe similar unsanitary and crowded conditions but go further by alleging abuse and other misconduct by CBP officers.

It should be noted that there were allegations of sexual assault at these detention centers as recently as February of this year.

Courtesy of NYT:

The federal government received more than 4,500 complaints in four years about the sexual abuse of immigrant children who were being held at government-funded detention facilities, including an increase in complaints while the Trump administration’s policy of separating migrant families at the border was in place, the Justice Department revealed this week.

The records, which involve children who had entered the country alone or had been separated from their parents, detailed allegations that adult staff members had harassed and assaulted children, including fondling and kissing minors, watching them as they showered, and raping them. They also included cases of suspected abuse of children by other minors.

So this is nothing new, but perhaps now with increased scrutiny, something will finally be done about it.

As you will notice in the headline I refer to these centers as concentration camps now because that is essentially what they are, and every new revelation that comes to light only reinforces that label.

End the problem, send them all back to their home countries where they belong!

Shame on their parents for putting their children at such risk. Shame on them and Mexico for providing passage.

Shame on you for being such an idiot. Why don’t you take a trip down to Central America and educate yourself, or are you too chicken?

Why don’t you tell trump to send them home, oh right because he doesn’t want to send them home, he wants to torture them.

the donald doesn’t need Epstein for sex trafficking, he has his administration to do it for him.

If they send them all back, who will trump hire to work as slave labor at his golf courses, his vineyards etc. 🙂 Heck there is a whole town in Honduras that was built by the money they earned working ILLEGALLY for trump.
Trump claims he knows zip about his undocumented workers, but in 2013 he was singing their praises

Donald Trump is claiming that he knows nothing about the fact that his numerous golf resorts and Virginia winery have employed undocumented workers, but during a 2013 Trump Tower meeting with a group of Dreamers who were sharing their stories in a tour across the country, he admitted quite the opposite. In fact, he sang his workers’ praises.

“’You know, the truth is I have a lot of illegals working for me in Miami,’ he told them, using the term for undocumented immigrants those in the meeting found offensive,” BuzzFeed News reported in August 2015. Gaby Pacheco, a Dreamer and immigrant rights advocate from Florida, recalled Trump saying that “’You know in Miami, my golf course is tended by all these Hispanics—if it wasn’t for them my lawn wouldn’t be the lawn it is; it’s the best lawn.”

If you had any inkling of what these people are running from, you would realize how desperate they are. I guarantee that you, yourself, might consider doing exactly the same thing if you were in their shoes but you lack empathy to understand the plight that these people are facing. When you sit down to dinner, safe in your home with your family around the dinner table you can say, “God bless America, thank you Ronald Reagan, I GOT mine.” Do you know why they call Trump voters his base? Because they are the lowest example of humanity living among REAL AMERICANS who understand that WE CAN be better. Be careful when you criticize innocent people caught up in a corrupt and broken country because we could be next.

Shame on all of you for perpetuating this problem. These children need to be in their home countries where they belong. There are no “illegal immigrants
anymore, they have ALL figured out the laughable “asylum” loophole. It is a massive joke on the US. Are we supposed to take in all of Central America? Guess what, then we are Central America with all the problems.

Send them home. Why aren’t they seeking asylum in Mexico when they cross that border? Because the Mexican Cartels are making too much money shipping them thru that country, as they are raped and many simply killed before they even get close. This is a humanitarian disaster that is being hand fed by Democrats.

As I commented before, why are there male guards in with these children? especially these males guards, not to say a woman wouldn’t harm a child either, but it lowers the chances.

trump should be put in prison just on these atrocities.

2nd commenter above is an trump asshole. People want a better life. They are sold a bill of sales with the myth that America is the better place. Not so since trump came to power and now all the evil people come forth and spew their hate. Just because people come chasing a myth they should not have their children molested by government workers here in America. Use to be on the Mexican border side they could fully expect to have their vulnerability taken advantage of but now on our side, we are just as bad? Then the citizens of this country who want to protect their own interest only, are up in arms. Hell with that. Children in government custody should not be subjected to perversion no matter what the circumstance. Num 2 comment above, karma is waiting for assholes like you and those guards, and she is very patient.

Sorry, but who didn’t see this coming? And you can be sure it is more widespread than this report.
