Some of these people may never find work again.

Another 3.8 million people lost their jobs in the US last week as the coronavirus pandemic continued to batter the economy. The pace of layoffs appears to be slowing, but in just six weeks an unprecedented 30 million Americans have now sought unemployment benefits and the numbers are still growing.
The latest figures from the labor department released on Thursday showed a fourth consecutive week of declining claims. While the trend is encouraging, the rate of losses means US unemployment is still on course to reach levels unseen since the Great Depression of the 1930s.
The figures are also still undercounting the number of people out of work. Some states are still dealing with backlogs of claims after their systems were overwhelmed by the massive volume of applications.
This should be concerning to all of us, but it should especially concern the Trump Campaign who had long relied on using a strong economy as the selling point for a second term in the White House.
As we have pointed out repeatedly that was really a case of stolen valor with Trump taking credit for the economy built by the Obama Administration but now even that lie will do him no good.
To be fair all of this job loss cannot be blamed on Trump, pandemics tend to undermine economies, however, I think most people understand that his decisions have only exacerbated the situation and that like it or not his administration will be held to account.
I have no idea what Joe Biden can do to rapidly repair this situation, but I certainly trust him and the Obama folks he brings with him over Trump and his merry band of misfits.
