The Trump Campaign believes that the government shutdown actually helped their candidate.

President Donald Trump’s political team has concluded that shutting down the government hasn’t damaged his 2020 prospects — if anything, they’re convinced it’s bolstered his standing in key electoral battlegrounds.

Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale commissioned a survey taken during the final days of the shutdown that was conducted by respected GOP pollsters Neil Newhouse and Robert Blizzard. The poll, surveying 10 GOP-leaning House districts that Democrats won in the 2018 midterms, found that a plurality of voters blamed Trump for the shutdown. But a plurality of voters also supported his push for a border wall.

Trump is expected to be briefed on the new numbers on Monday evening, according to a person familiar with the plans.

The poll has been released as the president faces blowback from across the political spectrum over the five-week shutdown. The survey conflicts with other data showing that Trump’s poll numbers were damaged by the episode.

While some view internal polls skeptically, this one could embolden Trump to take a hard line in future negotiations over the wall. Trump has a pattern of latching onto polling data that confirm his views, even if they’re contradicted by other numbers.

I am going to have to imagine that this polling sample was made up entirely of Trump family members and White House staffers.

I have dabbled in oppositional research myself and I can tell you that the video of Trump offering to take responsibility for this shutdown is “Gold Jerry, it’s gold!”

If I were working for his eventual opponent’s campaign I would have that damn thing running on a loop in every house in America, along with the statistics showing how much the shutdown cost the country, testimony from the federal workers struggling to survive, and news footage of when he finally caved like Nancy Pelosi’s little bitch.

Good for his campaign my ass!

I am reading the book wriiten by al gore called the assault on reason. Everything trump, putin, and fox news does is a tactic. They just know how to minipulate the masses through repetetive propaganda, and the sly use of media to further aid them in their cause. As americans whose education has been dumbed down and numbed to death by the kardashian era we were quite ripe for assholes to run our country. Now big business has its claws on our constitution, i doubt if we ever will be great again in the sense of being innocent to believe there is an american dream. Now its a russain oligarchds wet dreams.

OT?”Two other senior White House officials familiar with Kushner’s plans told Axios that the president asked Kushner to join with Vice President Mike Pence and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to negotiate immigration on behalf of the White House. One of those officials said Kushner has almost exclusively been talking to Republicans to figure out what they want out of a reform package. His planning sessions are
“about defining what we’re for, not what we’re against.””

It’s all how they phrased the polling questions. You know, like “Do you still beat your wife?”

I don’t care how reputable the pollsters claim to be. Considering the brown nosers and toadies Trump has surrounded himself with, I have no doubt this was a “take a poll and let the results be…..” just to they could show Trump something to soothe his damaged ego. I’m sure it was designed to convince Trump that caving to Pelosi was a “win” for him.

The GOP, especially any senators up for re-election in 2020, better be very careful how they vote. Supporting this obvious mob-boss/moron could lose them the election, whether to a Democrat or a primary challenger. You can’t fool all of the people all of the time and plenty that voted for Trump hoping for something different are disgusted and will not vote for him again.

That would include Cliff Sims. He should apologize to all of the snakes as vipers doesn’t begin to describe the depth of criminality staining the White House.

When you CHOOSE TO wall yourself off from reality with a belief that there is a literal salvation elsewhere, and at another time, then you are primed, by way of self-sterilization, to waste an entire lifetime obligatorily as moldable prey to idiots.
