I guess he doesn’t kid. Trump said he told his people to stop testing, and that appears to be exactly what they are doing.

The Trump administration is ending funding and support for local COVID-19 testing sites around the country this month, as cases and hospitalizations are skyrocketing in many states.
The federal government will stop providing money and support for 13 sites across five states which were originally set up in the first months of the pandemic to speed up testing at the local level.
Local officials and public health experts expressed a mixture of frustration, resignation, and horror at the decision to let federal support lapse.
Texas will be particularly hard hit by the decision. The federal government gives much-needed testing kits and laboratory access to seven testing sites around Texas. But in the state, which is seeing new peaks in cases, people still face long lines for testing that continues to fail to meet overwhelming demand.
Speaking of Texas, they have been hit with such a large surge of new cases that ultra-conservative governor Greg Abbott is telling his people to stay home.

Texas is hitting an all-time high for COVID-19 cases and Gov. Greg Abbott told state residents to stay home unless they need to be out.
“Texas will report an all-time high in the number of cases of people testing positive of more than 5,000,” Abbott said in an interview on KBTX. “The hospitalization rate is at an all-time high. Coronavirus is spreading in Brazos County and across the entire state of Texas, which is exactly why action is being taken.”
Hours later, state health officials reported a record 5,489 new COVID-19 cases.
And the state broke its record for hospitalizations for the 12th day in a row, with the Department of State Health Services reporting 4,092 COVID-19 patients in Texas hospitals.
Now as a reasonable person you might be wondering how in the hell the Trump Administration can rationalize making it harder to get a Coronavirus test with more cases cropping up every day.
But we were already told the justification, weren’t we?

I hope that Texas and these other southern states remember that Trump abandoned them when they needed his help the most come election day.
