Yeah this going to cause a stir.

TIME won the 2018 “Cover of the Year” Award from the American Society of Magazine Editors for its Oct. 15, 2018, cover, “Her Lasting Impact,” featuring Christine Blasey Ford. The cover was illustrated by San Francisco-based artist John Mavroudis who used words and phrases from Ford’s testimony during the Senate hearings on the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to create Ford’s portrait.

Very compelling cover, I think it absolutely deserves the honor.

“The American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) named Time’s “Her Lasting Impact” October 15, 2018 cover its magazine “Cover of the Year,” capturing Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as she raises her hand to swear in at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, where she accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.
The illustration, by San Francisco-based artist John Mavroudis, uses words and phrases from Ford’s testimony to create her likeness.
Mavroudis drew each letter by hand.

“The memory quotes would be attached to her forehead area, and the quotes about wanting to help I placed on her hand. The hand could be seen as welcoming, but also deflecting,” “The Time cover featuring Dr. Ford also won the award for Best News and Politics.”

“Republican-voting white, college-educated women in battleground districts now prefer Democrats by nearly 30 points. That can only grow with Trump’s “horseface” comment about Stormy Daniels, following on his high-pitched voice mocking imitation of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. And Trump says he’s not a baby. The president believes winning means no one cares how he treated Ford.”
