To be honest I never thought that Jared Kushner had anywhere near the brainpower he would need to solve a problem that has eluded far more intelligent men and women for decades now.

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas said he is cutting security ties with Israel and the U.S. on Saturday, in reaction to a U.S.-brokered peace plan that immediately met with furious objections from the Palestinians.
Abbas said he told Israel and the U.S. that “there will be no relations with them, including the security ties” following the deal that Palestinians say heavily favors the Israelis. He also said he will refuse to take President Trump’s phone calls “because I know that he would use that to say he consulted with us.”
“I will never accept this solution,” Abbas said. “I will not have it recorded in my history that I have sold Jerusalem.”
The furious reaction by Abbas came during a speech at an Arab League meeting in Cairo, Egypt that denounced the plan — and poured cold water on the plan’s chances.
That reaction inspired a very diplomatic response from Trump’s son-in-law.
I’m kidding, he said this:
Jared Kushner: “If [the Palestinians] screw up this opportunity… I think that they will have a very hard time looking the international community in the face saying they’re victims, saying they have rights.” pic.twitter.com/ffxUT45MFO

Wow! Somebody is certainly channeling their father-in-law.
Yeah, that “if you don’t agree with me your an idiot” approach is certain to bring folks to the negotiation table.
Unfortunately for Kushner, the Palestinians are not the only ones unimpressed by this plan.

Senior officials in the Prime Minister’s Office said that even if a Palestinian state is established under the Trump peace plan there will not be a redrawing of Israel’s borders to see Arab towns in the so-called Triangle area included in the future Palestine, Channel 12 television news reported Sunday.
The Triangle is an area southeast of Haifa, near the Palestinian city of Jenin, which includes 14 towns and villages where more than 260,000 Arab Israelis live. Residents of those ares have protested against the idea that they may one day be redefined as living in a new Palestine state.
Officials in the PMO told the network the idea — mentioned in the Trump plan as a possibility — is unrealistic because it requires agreement by all sides, which is currently lacking even on much more straightforward aspects of the plan.
Within Israel Netanyahu, who is currently under indictment, is hearing major disappointment form his right wing supporters who are flabbergasted that he achieved so little with this new peace plan even thoguh he has been kissing Trump’s ass with an almost religious fervor.
You have to hand it to Jared Kushner, it takes real talent to completely piss off both sides of a negotiation so that neither side wants anything to do with you anymore.
