The DOJ and FBI are likely to redact information from sensitive documents that Trump wants declassified.

If Trump fails to get his way on this his Twitter account is going to explode!

President Donald Trump has demanded the “immediate declassification” of sensitive materials about the Russia investigation, but the agencies responsible are expected to propose redactions that would keep some information secret, according to three people familiar with the matter.

The Justice Department, FBI and  Office of the Director of National Intelligence are going through a methodical review and can’t offer a timeline for finishing, said the people, who weren’t authorized to speak publicly about the sensitive matter.

The White House issued a statement on Monday listing material that Trump wants declassified immediately, echoing demands of Republican lawmakers who share his contention that the continuing investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election was tainted by anti-Trump bias well before Robert Mueller was named special counsel to run it.

Among Trump’s demands was the full public release of all text messages concerning the Russia probe by Justice Department official Bruce Ohr and by several former officials, including two who were fired — former FBI Director James Comey and his deputy, Andrew McCabe. One person described the order to release text messages as unprecedented, and another said additional talks will probably be held with the White House over the matter.

The Justice Department and FBI are expected to submit their documents and proposed redactions to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which will assemble all the material into a package and hand it over to the White House, according to the people.

The thing is that Trump does not give two shits about protecting assets on the ground or ongoing investigations, his only interest is in providing more data for the conservative media outlets to misrepresent and lie about in order to further undermine the legitimacy of the Mueller investigation.

This could lead to the kind of clash that will make all of Trump’s other attacks against the FBI and DOJ look like love notes to his high school sweetheart.

““Trump declassified sensitive materials because Fox News hosts Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity, and Jeanine Pirro asked him to. Materials that he never bothered to read himself and his own Justice Department said couldn’t be released without jeopardizing ongoing investigations.””“I have not reviewed them,” he said in response to a question. “I have been asked by many people in Congress as you know to release them.”

    Then he added:

“I have watched commentators that I respect begging the president of the United States to release them. . . . I have had many people ask me to release them. Not that I didn’t like the idea, but I wanted to wait. I wanted to see what, you know, where it was all going. And I think this whole, it’s a hoax. You know Gregg Jarrett wrote a book called the Russian Hoax. It actually is a hoax. I call it a witch hunt, but it’s a hoax. Beyond a witch hunt.” “I have been asked by so many people that I respect. ‘Please’ — the great Lou Dobbs, the great Sean Hannity, the wonderful great Jeanie Pirro.”

Pirro, Trump said, “takes it so personally” because this is “one of the great scandals in the history of our country.”

“I don’t like to use it because it sounds so conspiratorial, and believe it or not I’m really not a conspiratorial person,”
claimed Trump, who is a fan of pushing conspiracy theories on all manner of topics, from former President Barack Obama’s birthplace to the death toll from the 2017 hurricanes in Puerto Rico.

Not surprisingly, Trump has repeatedly used the term in a conspiratorial way on Twitter:

‘Great new book by Jason Chaffetz appropriately called “The Deep State.” Very interesting indeed!

I sure hope the documents are redacted. I hope there will be so many blackened words that the results will be impossible to decipher. This latest demand by Don the Con simply proves what a traitor he is. As usual, I simply cannot comprehend why the GOP, which controls Congress, allows him to continue. GOP behavior simply confirms their guilt in the Trump/Russian collusion. Are there no Republican politicians who care more for their country than their party? Are tax cuts for the wealthy all that matter to them anymore?

That same DOJ and FBI Trump is undermining, saying he will cut out the cancer which I take to mean he is going to get rid of any opposition or criticism. Probably starting with Rod Rosenstein now that he has the ammunition thanks to those anonymous sources he so hates, excepts when he loves them.
