Stephen King says that Trump presidency is “scarier” than anything he wrote about in his books.

King, who sat down with NowThisNews, was asked if the current commander in chief is scarier than his fictional tales.

“Short answer to that is yes, I do. I do think it’s scarier,” King said in the clip posted Friday.

The novelist also suggested that he predicted Trump’s rise to power more than four decades ago in his 1979 book “The Dead Zone.”

“I was sort of convinced that it was possible that a politician would arise who was so outside the mainstream and so willing to say anything that he would capture the imaginations of the American people,” King said.

One of the central characters in “The Dead Zone” is a ruthless businessman-turned-politician named Greg Stillson.

King said the candidate was known for “crazy stuff that nobody would possibly believe or so we thought, until Donald Trump came along.”

That video up above is nothing short of terrifying to watch.

I am a huge Stephen King fan and have read almost every single one of his books, and I also thought of the Stillson character when Trump first came on the scene.

You would think, and hope even, that people were too smart to fall for the antics of a lunatic trying to manipulate them into supporting him.

But we just watched that happen.

For a lot of us the lying and gaslighting were obvious from the very start.

But there are so many people these days who seem to function without access to even the most rudimentary critical thinking skills, that charlatans, confidence men, and false prophets seem able to prey on them with ease.

This is a problem that I fear witll only get worse with time.

I watched that movie a few times. Big Steven King fan and Christopher Walken fan also. However King may have predicted we’d get a psycho leader but the movie that really speaks volumes is the one that Luke Wilson stars in called Ideoscracy. I think that’s the name and the spelling. That movie explains our times now. Because Trump would not have happened if the citizens weren’t as unreasonable, ignorant and backwards as we seem to be today. And I hope the hell it doesn’t get worst but when you read people’s comments on all these sites, and how people still rally with their crazy red hats behind that dummy Trump, there doesn’t seem to be any hope. Crap.

Well, I think Idiocracy perfectly describes the dumbed down electorate, but that “Dead Zone” better illustrates Trump’s innate evil megalomania.

I compared Trump to Greg Stillson when he was still campaigning.
