Okay so is this a parody of a straight pride parade? Because it really seems like a parody of a straight pride parade.
Courtesy of NBC News:
A so-called “Straight Pride Parade” in Boston on Saturday drew as many counterprotesters as marchers in addition to a heavy police presence.
The parade, which drew several dozen participants, kicked off at around noon to the sound of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” with some floats displaying messages of support for President Donald Trump, with signs such as “build the wall,” “Trump nation” and “Blue Lives Matter.”
It was organized by a group called Super Happy Fun America who say they are “committed to creating spaces for people of all identities to embrace the vibrancy of the straight community.”
“Super Hapy Fun America?”
Are you shitting me?
There is no way this can be for real.
Nope, I’m wrong, they are saying this is real.
Courtesy of Yahoo News:
Super Happy Fun America’s website says Saturday’s march is to “spread awareness of issues impacting straights,” describing heterosexuals as “an oppressed majority” in Massachusetts, the first US state to legalize same-sex marriage.
But the parade will have a clear political slant too, with participants due to walk alongside pro-Trump floats. The group’s website displays a doctored photo of Trump holding a sign saying #GreatToBeStraight.
Prominent members of America’s far-right movement, known as the “alt-right,” are scheduled to speak, including former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos, who has been banned from several social media sites.
Enrique Tarrio, a member of the all-male “Proud Boys” organization, which has been designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, is also due to attend.
So essentially this is just another excuse for the white supremacists to march to demonstrate frustration at the fact that the country is moving forward and leaving them behind.
The parade is essentially made up of straight white male Christians. so essentially it is just the Republican party participating in Walk-aerobics.
The best part of the day was of course the counter-protesters who were just way more inspired and imaginative than the parade participants.

Maybe the next time the Straight Pride Parade organizers will hire a couple of less than straight folks to help them throw a parade that does not look like a funeral procession.
Just a thought.
