So once again, no Hillary Clinton is not running for president in 2020.

Now to be fair, that WAS somewhat of a muddled response.

But not that muddled.

Courtesy of WaPo:

SWISHER: We’re going to talk about 2020 in a minute. Do you want to run again?

CLINTON: (slight pause) No. No.

SWISHER: That was a pause.

CLINTON: Well, I’d like to be president. I think, hopefully, when we have a Democrat in the Oval Office in January of 2021, there’s going to be so much work to be done. I mean we have confused everybody in the world, including ourselves. We have confused our friends and our enemies. They have no idea what the United States stands for, what we’re likely to do, what we think is important. So the work would be work that I feel very well prepared for having been at the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department, and it’s just going to be a lot of heavy lifting.

SWISHER: So are you going to be doing any of that lifting? Do you feel like —

CLINTON: Oh I have no idea, Kara, but I’m going to — I’m not even going to even think about it til we get through this Nov. 6 election about what’s going to happen after that, but I’m going to everything in my power to make sure we have a Democrat in the White House come January of 2021.

A number of news outlets took a look at this interview and convinced themselves that Hillary was considering a run in 2020.

They are full of shit and simply looking for some clickbait.

The first thing to notice is that Hillary responded to the initial question with an emphatic “no.”

After that, during the follow-up questions, she was not as definitive, but it seemed clear to me that while she would LIKE to be president, she has no intention of ever again RUNNING to be president.

And who could blame her, the poor woman has been through the political wringer far more often than just about any other human being on the planet.

I think that Hillary’s heavy lifting comment was about supporting the eventual 2020 nominee, NOT launching a campaign of her own.

Look I voted for Hillary in 2016, and there is not a day that goes by that I do not wish she were in the White House right now, but her window has closed, and it is time for a different candidate to step forward and take up the mantle.

I have no idea at this point who that will be, but I know it will not be Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I sure hope you’re right Gryph. She should not be screwing around like this in public forums. She needs to go away.

And yes I voted for her too.

I don’t think Hillary Clinton needs to “go away” but I doubt very much if she would really want to go through the coming presidential election ordeal. Because it, if it is allowed to take place, will be an ordeal. I’m a few years older than Hillary Clinton and I know she has much more stamina than I’ve ever had but it does get harder to suffer fools and to smile sweetly through it all. I think she’s earned her role as “elder stateswoman” and she should be welcomed by the next Democratic administration in Washington as a perfect adjunct in rebuilding relationships among nations that are now in tatters.

She knows as a nation we will have to massively clean up after Don the Con has been removed, and hopefully his next move is prison. To say both our enemies and allies are confused by what we as a country STAND for is powerful. We are all going to do some major lifting after this toddler has been disciplined and put in an iron clad time out.

If she is healthy enough, she will be running. Already told you this.

A muddled response from Hillary is a yes.

Her ego can’t give up, can’t give up the legacy of being the first woman President. She won’t be though.

That title will probably go to Nikki Haley.

-That stupid guy who gets everything right.

    • Lewsiffer October 29, 2018 at 5:38 pm

Nimrata “Nikki” Haley will not be POTUS, she won’t even run. It’s come to the surface that she has a lot of baggage, some of it financial, and not in her favor, pls she’s not a white nationalist man and that’s what the GOP will run in 2020, either the current racist or another racist man, but certainly not an Indian woman with some issues in her closet.

You have no clue “Lewsifer”, zero. And calling yourself ‘Lewsifer’ just adds to your cluelessness. lol.

Well we might not have a Democrat in office in 2021 because once again, that saboteur Bernie says he’s going to run. And his delirious fans are all over it.

I think Bernie has done enough damage to the Democratic Party and HE should go the fuck away.

    • $BM October 29, 2018 at 3:14 pm

From Day 1 >The BERN was the ‘$poiler’ then and NOW. A$$isted by NOW DEAD MSNBC/RT ed $chultz.

      How CONvenient. Think about ~IT~

As horrifying as it is. comes as no surprise to me that “some” say dRumpf will win a second term.
Bernie? C’mon, an old “get off my lawn” geezer and he only garnered 13 M votes.
Hillary? Put it to rest already, woman you lost (yes, I voted for her).
I see no viable candidate that could step in and make people believe again, as did Barack Obama.
Couple that with well known hacking/cheating, I hope this country can survive it.

The media still turns first to Bernie Sanders as if he were a Democrat. I just wish that the US media would treat him for what he is — a spoiler. He is not a Democrat. He’s a party of one – the Bernie Sanders party – and I don’t think he has a clue about governing.

honestly, the requirements for becoming President should be an educated person. that’s how weended up with Don the con. he had a b.s. degree but not the right kind.

Hit list>”MIAMI (AP) — The man suspected of sending pipe bombs to prominent Democrats and other opponents of President Donald Trump kept a list of elected officials and others who investigators believe were intended targets, an official told The Associated Press on Monday.”

  7. Anonymous in Chicago October 29, 2018 at 5:40 pm

Anybody but Trump. However, (even though I voted for Hillary) she will not be able to unite the country in 2020.

  8. X2 October 30, 2018 at 7:00 am

Trump delivered his “total endorsement” ― not to the GOP lawmaker seeking reelection in the 12th district of the Buckeye State, but to a guy in “Beautiful British Columbia” Canada:

“The Ohio Balderson, who won his seat in an August special election by just 0.8 percent, retweeted the endorsement.

Canada’s Balderson hasn’t tweeted in more than two years.

Over the summer, Trump attempted to endorse Balderson in a special election, but instead accidentally urged people to vote for someone who wasn’t even running. “
