Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, says Donald Trump Jr. should ignore the subpoena issued to him by the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“If I were Donald Trump Jr.’s lawyer, I would tell him, ‘You don’t need to go back into this environment anymore,’” Graham said in an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on Sunday. “‘You’ve been there for hours and hours and nothing being alleged here changes the outcome of the Mueller investigation.’ I would call it a day.”

Remember that Lindsey Graham is not only a Senator he is a lawyer and knows full well the importance of respecting subpoenas and what will likely happen if Junior ignores this one.

Just take one minute to imagine how Graham would have responded if Hillary Clinton had refused to testify about her emails.

Or better yet, imagine if she had been subpoenaed and still refused.

Lindsey Graham would have lost his mind and been on Fox News every day demanding that Hillary respect the rules of the Senate and the Constitution that provide its authority.

Update: Well it appears that even Junior realized that this was dumb advice and he has agreed to a “limited” interview with the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Courtesy of NYT:

Donald Trump Jr. and the Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee reached a deal on Tuesday for the president’s eldest son to sit for a private interview with senators in the coming weeks that will be limited in time, an accord that should cool a heated intraparty standoff.

The deal came after an aggressive push by the younger Trump’s allies, who accused the Intelligence Committee’s chairman, Senator Richard M. Burr of North Carolina, of caving to Democrats by issuing a subpoena for the president’s son’s testimony. They called the effort a political hit job against the White House, using the president’s son as fodder.

Mr. Burr told fellow Republican senators last week that the president’s son had twice agreed to voluntary interviews but had not shown up, forcing the subpoena.

Fuck this limited shit.

Once they get Junior sworn in I imagine the Democrats will grill him like a half rack of ribs.

There is a impeach Lindsey the traitor tweet going around. Also talk of what happened to Lindsey.

I imagine since his emails were hacked, somebody ( russians) have the goods on Miss Lindsey.

I would love for donnie jr to ignore the subpoena and they haul him off to jail, if they let him get away with it, the no one is going to take anything Congress does seriously. He is a bully just like his father, just tell him NO and he will back down.

Lindsey Graham is almost as big a jackass as Mitch McConnell. In fact, we’re McTurtle to leave the Senate I could see Lindsey Graham blocking Supreme Court nominations for Democrats and other ratfucking tricks. I can’t wait to hear how Kamala Harris tears up Traitor Tot. She will tear him a new asshole and deservedly so.

Jerry Nadler: The president can be impeached only if two things, only for misuse of presidential power while president or for cheating in the election that gave him the presidency. Other than that, if he did something terrible before he was president, he robbed the bank, that’s not impeachable. It’s a crime, but it’s not impeachable.

John Harwood: Do you believe he’s committed crimes while in office?

Jerry Nadler: Yes I do. Mueller lays out very strong evidence of a number of obstructions of justice. Those are crimes. Yes, of course he did.

“Schiff rejected the notion that the material would be covered by attorney-client privilege, while arguing that Cohen submitted a statement that was “coordinated, reviewed, shaped and edited” by the attorneys. Schiff said that Cohen’s statement had “false materials” and “omission of fact” with the “intended effect of impeding the investigation.””

“”If as Cohen alleges, Abbe Lowell was involved in telling Michael Cohen to lie to Congress, specifically about the involvement of Ivanka Trump in that scheme, I mean, that feels like the sort of thing that could trip 50 tripwires all at once,””

What’s with his finger? He does do a reasonably good job, though, of cleaning the feces out from under his nails.
