Pittsburgh synagogue shooter believed Jews were funding the migrant caravan.

Another MAGA terrorist?

Courtesy of NBC News:

Robert Bowers, the Pennsylvania man accused of a fatal shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue Saturday morning, posted prolifically online about conspiracy theories and made repeated threats to Jews.

Bowers frequently wrote on the social network Gab, where he made a specific threat against Jews hours before allegedly conducting Saturday’s attack.

In the post, Bowers said that the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, a humanitarian aid nonprofit group that provides assistance to refugees, brought immigrants to the United States to do violence against others.

“Screw your optics, I’m going in,” he wrote.

Bowers frequently posted about the “migrant caravan,” a group of several thousand refugees walking to the U.S.-Mexico border from Honduras to seek asylum. Preventing refugees in the caravan from entering the U.S. has been a major talking point among both right-wing commentators and President Donald Trump, who has spoken about it in recent pre-midterm election stump speeches.

Bowers’ anti-Semitic posts and his apparent disdain for the caravan are tied to a viral image that appears to show refugees hopping onto the bed of a truck that had a Star of David visible on the side. The image has been widely shared on far-right forums like 4chan and the Russian propaganda operation USA Really. He reposted a screenshot of a video of the caravan that aired on Fox News, as well as other networks, that does not mention the symbol.

Here is more courtesy of CNN:

He believed that those in the migrant caravans were violent because they were attempting to leave countries that had high levels of violence. And Bowers repeatedly called them “invaders.”

“I have noticed a change in people saying ‘illegals’ that now say ‘invaders’,” read one post, six days before the shooting. “I like this.”

At 9:49 a.m., in his final post on Gab.com, Bowers said referenced HIAS, saying he believed they brought in “invaders,” that were killing his people.

So it appears that this guy was radicalized, not by Islamic propaganda, but by Donald Trump and Fox News.

Which means that in only a matter of days we have had two different terrorist attacks linked to the Right Wing media and the man currently occupying the White House.

After I wrote my last post about the MAGAbomber I warned that there would be others who would engage in violence in response to Donald Trump’s rhetoric, I guess I just did not expect to be proven right so quickly.

I keep asking myself what horrible conditions these refugees are fleeing from that would make coming to the current mess on our side of the border seem acceptable by comparison. I feel so bad for these desperate people.

    • Lewsiffer October 28, 2018 at 6:06 pm

Right? Any american with any sense wants to flee this place and the idiocy that surrounds us. I can’t imagine anyone who has it so bad that they would want to come live in this hellhole.

Schindler’s List Sound Track Girl in Red

‘Best scene in the movie. It’s ironic that such a beautiful score is used to a scene which depicts the evil that lurks inside all humanity.’

SCHINDLERS LIST little girl in red is dead :
The real girl in red survived the war and went on to publish a book years later detailing her experiences during the Holocaust.
Spielberg said in an interview that talked to a Holocaust survivor who witnessed a little girl in a red coat getting shot by a Nazi officer.
That is what it is actually based on.

Jews of trying to “buy” the election – The tweet, which included the hashtag #MAGA to express support for President Donald Trump, singled out Soros, billionaire hedge fund manager Tom Steyer and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
“get out and vote Republican” on the grounds that the individuals singled out would try to “buy” the election. Given that one of the common anti-Semitic myths is that Jews have disproportionate power due to their supposed ability to buy elections, and that the three men singled out by McCarthy are all Jewish, the tweet could have been construed as being an anti-Semitic dogwhistle.

“Make no mistake: Despicable acts of violence and harassment are being carried out by radicals across the political spectrum—not just by one side. Regardless of who is responsible, these acts are wrong and must be condemned by Democrats and Republicans alike. Period,”
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer posted a tweet denouncing violence regardless of whether it comes from the left or the right.

“The last advertisement of President Trump’s campaign for president talked about ‘global special interests’ as the Jewish faces of Janet Yellen, George Soros, and Lloyd Blankfein went by,” he said. “That’s not a dog whistle! That’s a vuvuzela, as somebody said.” “I mean, that sends a shiver down my spine!” . Trump actually hired a Goldman Sachs alum, Gary Cohn, in the White House and strongly considered reappointing Yellen — revealing that his use of these figures as boogeymen in the ad had nothing to do with their policy beliefs. Instead, by choosing these specific Jewish figures and tying them to a global conspiracy, it was a clear and blatant appeal to anti-Semitism.”

Nearly $50,000 has been raised through a Muslim crowdfunding site for the victims of the shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday. The site was started by two Muslim nonprofit organizations.

The fundraising campaign was launched on the site LaunchGood, which is a crowdfunding site specifically designed for Muslims. It reached its initial goal of $25,000 in less than six hours, and is now working to raise its new goal of $50,000.

“The Muslim-American community extends its hands to help the shooting victims, whether it is the injured victims or the Jewish families who have lost loved ones,” the website description reads. “We wish to respond to evil with good, as our faith instructs us, and send a powerful message of compassion through action.”
“While these senseless acts have filled us with sorrow, we reflect on the message of unity, tolerance, and mutual protection found in the Constitution of Medina: a historic social contract between the Medinan Jews and the first Muslim community. We are also inspired by the example of our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, who stood up to pay respects for a passing Jewish funeral procession. When questioned on why he stood for a Jewish funeral, he responded, “Is it not a human soul?” [Source: Bukhari].

    A Message of Unity

“Through this campaign, we hope to send a united message from the Jewish and Muslim communities that there is no place for this type of hate and violence in America. We pray that this restores a sense of security and peace to the Jewish-American community who has undoubtedly been shaken by this event.”

“The words that I heard from our president today were deeply disappointing. He had one job, to provide comfort for those that were mourning, and instead, his words sounded to me like an advertisement for gun companies…The truth is that Donald Trump cares more about NRA and its members than he cares about stopping gun violence in America. The rabbi was correct: Trump’s remarks sounded like a commercial for gun manufacturers, who are currently making obscene profits in a divided America.”

Pittsburgh synagogue attack is beyond heartbreaking and appalling. This evil must STOP. Stand united against such hatred; pray for victims; appeal to God for His presence to come back in to all our lives so there may be peace in America 🇺🇸 peace on earth. It’s the answer. – SP
Hey, beeyotch, you still don’t get your role in this, do you?? Actually, I know you do and you’re loving every minute of it.
I would no more pray to “your” version of God than I’d pray to the devil himself.

      Dear Mrs. Palin,

Fuck you and your fabricated God. 232 years of Christian rule in this nation and nothing good came from it except death, destruction and marginalization of people your book discriminates against taught to the masses who stopped thinking for themselves.

FB Excerpts>’My crew first encountered Cesar Sayoc, the mail bomber/terrorist, 20 months ago when we went down to Melbourne, Florida,
      to film Trump’s first “Trump 2020 Re-election Rally”‘…
“Here with our footage I can show you what he had actually become — overdosed on steroids in what looks like some desperate attempt to hang on to what was left of his manhood. Men, people like Cesar have been led to believe, were and are under attack by the likes of Hillary and Michelle and all those “feminazis” who’ve had but one mission: political castration. The theft of power from the patriarchy that had been in place for 10,000 years. The end of men.”…”Here in this outtake from “Fahrenheit 11/9” is 3 minutes and 38 seconds of raw, unedited footage — and you can see what Sayoc had become by early 2017…You’ll see him two or three times, but if you pause on him you will also see something profound. Underneath his threatening Hulk-like exterior, there is fear in his eyes and, for a quick moment, he looks more like he feels that he MUST be here, not that he wants to be here. You can see he is already gone, a lost dog, with nowhere left to go, no direction home… Cesar and his bros ARE at WAR, against all these things, against us, the majority, and they are at WAR inside of and against themselves. This is why they will lose, but not before they take a few of us with them. Needless to say I was a bit shaken to see that Sayoc had placed a photo of me with a crosshairs target over my face on the side of his van. I stopped counting the death threats long ago. I’ve been assaulted more than a half-dozen times (men with knives, clubs, hot scalding coffee thrown at my face) and the man who was making a fertilizer bomb (a la Oklahoma City) to blow up my house, thwarted only by his AK-47 which went off accidentally. A neighbor heard it, and off to prison he went…

So now we grieve over the latest loss of life this weekend in Pittsburgh but we will not be deterred in our singular mission: the electoral tsunami of voters we are bringing to the polls on November 6th to end this madness.
      -Michael Moore

“stochastic terrorism.” This concept was defined in 2011 as using “mass communication to incite random actors to carry out violent or terrorist acts that are statistically predictable but individually unpredictable.” “When it comes to stochastic terrorism, Trump is in a feedback loop with FOX News. Each spreads and amplifies the other’s lies. But Trump goes further, inciting violence.”

“The latest Trump-fueled outbreak of terrorism come after white supremacist murders more than doubled in his first year in office.”
“In the end there is a predictability to Trump’s unpredictability. He only knows how to do more of the same because that’s what’s worked for him before.” ” “straight out of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion” claiming the journey of Central American refugees were being funded and directed by the “Soros-occupied State Department.”

White-supremacist terrorism, it appears for Trump, is now the latest arrow in his quiver of hate.”

Mayor Bill Peduto seemed visibly distressed while speaking

The victims were identified as Joyce Fienberg, 75; Richard Gottfried, 65; Rose Mallinger, 97; Jerry Rabinowitz, 66; Cecil Rosenthal, 59; David Rosenthal, 54; Bernice Simon, 84; Sylvan Simon, 86; Daniel Stein, 71; Melvin Wax, 88; and Irving Younger, 69.

All of them, U.S. Attorney Scott Brady said, were murdered while “engaged in religious services and worship” by a man who he said expressed a “desire to kill Jewish people.”

The Anti-Defamation League called the massacre the “the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history of the United States.”

    Never forget.

Well the republicans have certainly showed there true colors after the bombs and shooting in the Synagogue. Not one of them came out and said this is terrible and tragic without adding.. lets not forget the bernie sanders supporter that shot the republican at a baseball game.

They will never fess up to the fact that trump is stirring up all the hatred in this country. Let’s blame the victims and ramp up the fear mongering. It works for trump and winning is all they care about. the moron in chief couldn’t even read a prepared statement and sound believable, then back to the campaign rallies where he ramped up the hatred again.

He also has stopped talking about the red wave on the campaign trail because there polling showed republicans were going to sit this one out.

I do not know if I saw the video referenced with the Star of David. One I saw spread on FB was of two flat bed trucks with Latinos riding on them. The post alleged the migrants have paid for food, water and transportation. The comments included declarations the migrants should be shot and are invading our country.

I agree Fox and Trump are doing what they can to radicalize people. Bowers posted that MAGA can’t happen with “kikes”.

‘Although these recent attacks are troubling, the phenomenon of individual attackers acting largely alone is not new. In the late 1800s, anarchists (mainly Russian and European) were calling for individuals to target government, authorities and the bourgeois as a way to bring attention to their cause. They referred to this type of publicity-seeking violence as “propaganda by the deed.” Within a period of just seven years between 1894 and 1901, lone anarchist attackers had assassinated the ruling heads of state in France, Spain, Austria and Italy, and a U.S. president.”

“At an Illinois campaign rally on Saturday, President Donald Trump again lied about crowd size. Specifically, Trump more than doubled the size of the migrant caravan currently passing through Mexico. The migrants are fleeing drug war-torn nations in central America and are planning to come to the United States to apply for asylum, as international law allows.

“If you look at that large group, sometimes it gets up to 17,000 people, they say,” Trump said. “Today they say it gets bigger and bigger—doesn’t make any difference because they’re not getting in…. They can’t come in.”

The UN says there are about 7,000 people in the caravan, less than half the number Trump claimed.

The number has also shrunk, not grown.”<Rawstory
