Wait, this just happened?

Courtesy BBC:

PayPal suspended an account used to raise funds by one of the US’s largest white supremacist groups six days after it was first flagged by an anti-bigotry campaigner.

The Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan had promoted the account via a donation page on its website.

PayPal acted on Friday after others picked up on the issue and urged it to block the recipient.

The US-based firm faces criticism for not resolving the issue more rapidly.

PayPal previously pledged to “evaluate all sites” brought to its attention that involved the use of its service to fund the KKK and other organisations advocating racist views.

Look I am all for free speech and everything, but I am not for hate speech that seeks to injure others.

The KKK is a disgusting organization that by all rights should no longer exist in the supposedly enlighted 21st cetury.

However if we cannot do away with hateful organizations like this then the very least we should expect is that social media would not give them a platform that helps recruit others to their cause.

And that includes Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and all of the others that I am not cool enough to even know about.

” is actually a ruse to “personally enrich himself & his friends” ― and how racism works “as the cover for the con” because “corruption isn’t popular policy.”

    “It’s always about the con,”

“These views are a minority among voters, the authors claim, but they nonetheless have “incredible amounts of support” among the general population. In fact, the study found that 24 percent of all 6,000-plus people surveyed said they believed society “should be burned to the ground.””

    The letter reads,
“You better keep that nasty black thing under control otherwise you just might find it in a ditch somewhere. Nothing but garbage ALL of YOU! Get out of this neighborhood. You are nothing [but] trash.”

The letter states that this is their “1st warning.”

If they are so proud of belonging to the KKK, why do they cover their faces 🙂

The KKK is a disgusting organization that by all rights should no longer exist in the supposedly enlightened 21st century”.

You don’t get to choose what ‘free’ speech is allowed and what isn’t. It is amazing you don’t understand the irony in your own statement.

Can’t have it both ways. (fixed your spelling errors too).
