I’m with the lawyers on this.

The New York City medical examiner said on Friday that Jeffrey Epstein’s death in a federal jail cell was a suicide, confirming he had hanged himself.

Mr. Epstein’s death had set off a wave of unfounded conspiracy theories, as people speculated online, without evidence, that he might have been killed to keep him from providing information to prosecutors about others in his social circle, including President Trump, former President Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew of Britain.

But the chief medical examiner in New York City, Dr. Barbara Sampson, ruled out foul play. She released a terse statement saying that, after an autopsy and a “careful review of all investigative information,” she had determined the cause of Mr. Epstein’s death was “hanging” and the manner was “suicide.”

Three of Mr. Epstein’s lawyers, Martin G. Weinberg, Reid Weingarten and Michael Miller, challenged the findings and vowed to conduct their own investigation.

“We are not satisfied with the conclusions of the medical examiner,” said the lawyers, who had hired a private pathologist to observe the autopsy, in a statement. “We will have a more complete response in the coming days.”

Lawyers for financier Jeffrey Epstein say they’re dissatisfied with the medical examiner’s conclusions and plan to view prison videos themselves from a facility operating under “medieval conditions.”

Attorneys Martin Weinberg, Reid Weingarten and Michael Miller said in a statement that it is “indisputable that the authorities violated their own protocols” at the federal lockup.

They say they’ll conduct their own probe and get court help, if necessary, to see “pivotal videos.”

They say they’re most interested in videos of areas around his cell.

I am going to suggest that the lawyers are going to have one hell of a time getting those videos, and that likely they will be unsuccessful.

One would think that there would be vidoe and photographs of the cell readily available to the press and Epstein’s lawyers to put any conspiracies to rest, and yet so far there is nothing.

Here is an image that purports to show a cell much like the one in which  Epstein was  found dead.

That toilet and stool look to be only a few feet off of the ground, the desk maybe a smidge higher.

Tell me how you can drop far enough to break the bone in front of your neck from such a minimal height?

You can’t do it

Sure you might be able to asphyxiate yourself slowly assuming there is something on the ceiling to tie a sheet to, which a former inmate says is not the case, but there is not enough of a drop to break a neckbone.

And despite the medical examiner’s conclusion, I stand by that.
