Nancy Pelosi urges Trump aides and his family to stage an intervention for “good of the country.”

During her weekly press briefing, Pelosi, D-Calif., was asked about the contentious—and short—meeting at the White House on Wednesday among her, the president, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., originally slated to discuss a potential bipartisan infrastructure deal.

Minutes before the meeting, Pelosi accused the president of being “engaged in a cover-up” with regard to the Russia investigation. Trump did not stay in the meeting with the Democratic leaders for more than several minutes, and blasted Pelosi’s comments moments after.

“The president stormed out, pounded the table, walked out the door,” Pelosi told reporters. “Another temper tantrum, again, I pray for the president of the United States. I wish that his family, the administration, and his staff would have an intervention for the good of the country.”

Pelosi also claimed that the president was using her comments about a “cover-up” as an “excuse” not to negotiate with Democrats.

“That is not the reason [he left,] that was an excuse for him to do that,” she explained. “Now I truly believe that the president has a bag of tricks and the White House has a bag of tricks that they save for certain [situations.]”

Pelosi said that the president is good at distracting “from problems that he has and tries to change the subject.”

“He tried to say it’s because I said cover-up. We’ve been saying cover-up for a while,” she said.

Pelosi also again echoed her earlier claims that the president has “obstructed justice in plain sight.”

“It cannot be denied,” Pelosi said. “These can be impeachable offenses, but we want to follow the facts, get the truth to the American people, with a recognition that no one is above the law, and…that the president is engaged in a cover-up.”

With regard to impeachment, Pelosi said that it is a “very divisive way to go in our country,” but said congressional Democrats will “get the facts.”

I think Pelosi has a “bag of tricks” as well, and within that bag is the ability to get right up under Trump’s skin and frustrate him while also making him feel emasculated.

It is well known that Trump hates strong women, mostly because they intimidate him and make feel less dominate.

Suggesting that he needs to be controlled by his family and his aides is guaranteed to piss him off yet again.

Pelosi is outmaneuvering Trump at every turn, while also treating him like a petulant schoolboy, and his frustrations are driving him to Caligula levels of madness.

If Trump were a dormant volcano we would be seeing sporadic releases of steam and tell-tale bulges in the mountainside.

I can agree with her argument that if they impeach him , the coward, lackey republicans in the senate will let him off the hook and trump will not only get away with all his crimes, but he will be vindicated and really go out of control.

So maybe it is better, they keep on investigating him, it may sent him over the edge to the point he commits a crime so horrendous, that the republicans can no longer hide.

I am surprised he hasn’t responded to her comment that he has lost his confidence 🙂

Yeah, or the meltdowns of all meltdowns to where the media, even Fox, can’t deny he’s totally lost it and the USSS cart him off to the looney bin.
But I can’t be that lucky, and look who’s waiting in the wings.

Anon @ 4:14 P.M. – totally agree!! Ms. Pelosi is playing fat donald like a cheap fiddle! Her approach is correct! Sooner or later, the fat dotard will be consumed with so much rage that he will slip up, and give himself away, in full display of his most ardent supporters. If any of his “base” turn on him, he will be dealt a serious emotional blow! Since most narcissists crave the spotlight, his insecurities and paranoia will be on full display! She is living rent-free in fat-boy’s head!!

  2. Intervention time? May 23, 2019 at 4:32 pm says Trump will be in Alaska briefly on Friday.

    • Anon May 23, 2019 at 5:39 pm

With the news saying that Russian planes were intercepted around Alaska, I would advise Donny to take a fishing trip. Send a look alike plane ahead and see what happens. Then wait a few days and fly to Japan.
I just got a bad feeling about this recent activity by Russia. Say what you will about Donny. We DO NOT want Q-Tip (Pence) in office because Russia took out Trump on an overseas trip. That would be hell in USA.
Trump is allright. Just obnoxious and annoying. You get what you elected peoples, so if you don’t like what happened, next time get off your lazy ass and go out and V O T E ! The power of the peoples speak volumes.

Well I sure hope Sarah is keeping an eye on those ruskie planes from her porch !!!

I heard she was in rehab. Shrug. I am sure Donny will avoid any meetings with her.

“Distorted videos of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), altered to make her sound as if she’s drunkenly slurring her words, are spreading rapidly across social media, highlighting how political disinformation that clouds public understanding can now grow at the speed of the Web,”

also he seems to have an obsession with the two FBI agents, keeps yakking about Lisa Page, his lover, his wonderful lover.. Freud might have some insight into this.

the biggest concern the framers of the Constitution had “about the executive, if you had a single executive, was that there be checks and balances. And if you have checks and balances and don’t use them, then you have the monarch.” “Nancy Pelosi has failed in her primary mission. She has three horsemen who know how to do this, three committees: Jerry Nadler, [Adam] Schiff, and [Elijah] Cummings. All of these people are being held back from what they have to do — and the time can pass us by. Right now is the ideal time.”

  8. Lady Lindsey May 24, 2019 at 7:12 am

“Now, if he’s fighting back against a bunch of crazy people trying to destroy his life,” he continued, “that is not covering anything up. The House Judiciary Committee is trying to retry the Mueller case. Mueller, to me, was the final word. They want to go through everything and do it all over again and get a different outcome. You’re not covering anything up when you’re fighting a bunch politicians trying to destroy you and your family. When it came time to cooperate with an independent man of the law, President Trump never claimed executive privilege.”

“Here is what I would say is being covered up — the division in the Democratic Party,” Graham concluded. “When she said there is no division in the House, either she is delusional or she is misleading us.”

“Donald Trump, for all of his emotional frailties and insecurities, and, yes, for his mental lapses, he usually just tactically, the animal instincts in him tactically helps him make the right choices,” <WTF?
“What he’s done though here is he’s punching above his weight,’ – “He was back looking confused and, quite frankly, flustered and just old yesterday,”
" the truth is he’s gotten into a fight or a ring with a bear that he can’t win."

  10. anonymous May 24, 2019 at 7:23 am

“There are desperation and urgency to Trump’s tweets. He has gone beyond repeating the same mantra, as no collusion, no obstruction has moved past being his serenity now like plea and reeks of a criminal proclaiming his innocence as he is locked up.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has gotten under Trump’s skin because one suspects no one was supposed to be aware of his cover-up. Trump thinks so highly of himself and poorly of everyone else that he believed that he was fooling everyone.”

  11. Anonymous May 24, 2019 at 8:05 am

“The tactic is remarkably similar to the one Trump used against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election. During that election, Trump maligned his presidential rival by questioning her mental wellbeing, her physical health and her age, and dubbed her a “nasty woman” who couldn’t “satisfy her husband.”

Trump’s attacks on Pelosi carry the same sexist undertones.”
“Among those who shared the doctored video was Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who tweeted, “What is wrong with Nancy Pelosi? Her speech pattern is bizarre.”
“Fox Business ran a highly edited supercut of a different Pelosi appearance Thursday, attempting to hone in on a handful of moments where she was supposedly “stammering.” After playing the supercut, host Gregg Jarrett also referred to the doctored video and claimed she could not put a sentence together. Thursday night, Trump tweeted Jarrett’s statement and video of the edited clip:

“Nancy Pelosi should not be out there doing the kinds of things she is doing. She will diminish herself and her membership. She cannot put a subject with a predicate in the same sentence. What’s going on?” Ed Rollins @GreggJarrett @LouDobbs
    4:39 PM – May 23, 2019

“Pelosi’s daughter, Christine Pelosi, called the implication that her mother was drunk “despicable,” noting that the Speaker doesn’t drink alcohol.”

“The new wave of attacks resemble similar attacks made on Hillary Clinton over both her health and her demeanor. Incidentally, Giuliani was one of the driving forces behind that conspiracy”

  12. anonymous May 24, 2019 at 8:08 am

“In his second eruption against Pelosi in as many days on Thursday, Trump showed just how much she’s got under his skin.
He called the highest-ranking woman in the history of American politics “a mess” and “crazy.” In another wild rant, he questioned whether she was smart enough to read a bill — even though the speaker has proven herself a fully cogent and keen legislator.
“I have been watching her for a long period of time. She’s not the same person. She’s lost it,” “
