Will he, or won’t he?

Courtesy of CNN:

President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, has split with the legal team that has shepherded him through a criminal investigation that included a high-profile FBI raid, a source familiar with the change said Wednesday.

The split could signal a shift in legal strategy and comes amid mounting pressure on Cohen as criminal charges could become likely.

The source said Cohen had not yet met with prosecutors to speak about a potential deal, and it’s unclear whether either side is seeking one.

There is tons of speculation as to what this means.

Courtesy of ABC News:

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s longtime confidant and former personal attorney, is likely to cooperate with federal investigators, as his lawyers are expected to leave the case, sources said.

Some have pointed out that Cohen has not yet sat down with the Mueller investigation so talk of a deal is premature, while others point out that the subject of an investigation does not typically meet with investigators until they are ready to bring charges.

Then there is this theory.

So I guess we will just sit and wait for the next shoe to drop.

Will Cohen arrange a meeting with the Mueller team in order to start on his plea deal, or will Trump send him a smoke signal telling him to just hang in there because he has a pardon with his name on it?

I herd this fellow feels “abandoned” by Trump. He is a very poor judge of character. I am being generous here.
I suspect he will flip when the reality is laid out to him.

Based on what I’ve read, there are several New York state criminal investigations, primarily dealing with taxi medallions. Dotard can’t pardon someone for state charges, so Cohen is fucked. Flipping might be his best way to avoid a lengthy jail sentence.

Jesus died so Trump could lie…..

I think that photo of Cohen is hysterical! It’s obviously supposed to be hip and flattering, showing that he’s a real guy doing real-guy multitasking things, but I just think it’s hilarious. He probably paid a lot of money to some photographer for the pose. If I were looking for an attorney and saw that photo in an ad, I’d run in the other direction. And I’d never hire that photographer!

Let’s hope Traitor Trump doesn’t take a leaf from his owner’s playbook about how to deal with loose lips. Watch your back, Mikey.

Raw$Tory>”The New York state attorney general has sued President Donald Trump and his three eldest children for operating an alleged sham charity.

Attorney General Barbara Underwood filed the lawsuit Thursday against the Trump Foundation and its directors — the president, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump — alleging a pattern of persistent illegal activity over more than a decade.

The suit claims the foundation illegally coordinated with the Trump campaign and helped prop up the president’s personal and business interests.

“As our investigation reveals, the Trump Foundation was little more than a checkbook for payments from Mr. Trump or his businesses to nonprofits, regardless of their purpose or legality,” Underwood said. “This is not how private foundations should function and my office intends to hold the Foundation and its directors accountable for its misuse of charitable assets.”

The attorney general initiated a process to dissolve the Trump Foundation under court supervision and seek restitution of $2.8 million and additional penalties.

Underwood also sent referral letters to the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Election Commission seeking investigations into possible violations of federal law.

The investigation found the charity raised more than $2.8 million intended to influence the presidential election during a nationally televised fundraiser Trump held while skipping a Republican primary debate Jan. 28, 2016, in Des Moines, Iowa.”

‘“He’s not cooperating nor do we care because the president did nothing wrong,” Giuliani told Ingraham. “I am absolutely certain of that.”

“Michael Cohen, I think, would tell you he’s got nothing incriminating with the president,” ““I empathize with Michael. I do not believe he is going to tell a falsehood. I think he’s going to tell the truth and we are very comfortable with that,”
