It’s hard to blame him.

Rudy Giuliani pal Lev Parnas wants Attorney General William Barr off his case, according to newly filed court documents.

“Federal ethics guidelines bar federal employees from participating in matters in which their impartiality could be questioned, including matters in which they were personally involved or about which they have personal knowledge,” reads the letter faxed Monday to the Department of Justice.

Lawyers for Parnas — who is accused of injecting foreign influence into US campaigns — go on to write that Barr must step aside due to his proximity to the impeachment inquiry into President Trump.

The Soviet-born businessman has claimed since his October arrest on campaign finance violations that he was working for Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani — with the knowledge of the President — to dig up dirt on Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

The motion cites references to Barr during the July 25 call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the August whistle-blower complaint naming him as a “participant in the President’s abuse of power.”

Parnas attorneys Joseph Bondy and Stephanie Schuman also blast Barr for causing “actual harm” to Parnas, claiming that documents seized by prosecutors following his arrest weren’t returned in time for him to comply with a Congressional subpoena to testify.

Parnas is right, Bill Barr is not only incapable of remaining neutral in this case but he was actively involved in Trump’s attempts at obstruction and in the Ukraine interference case itself.

I would suggest that Bill Barr has been so tainted by his connections to Donald Trump that he is now completely unfit to serve as the Attorney General of this country.
