Lev Parnas, the Rudy Giuliani associate caught in the middle of President Donald Trump’s impeachment, said on Wednesday that the president was fully aware of his actions in Ukraine, and leveled a string of potentially damaging accusations against the president’s closest allies, including Vice President Mike Pence, Attorney General William Barr and the House Intelligence Committee’s top Republican, Rep. Devin Nunes.
“President Trump knew exactly what was going on,” Parnas, who was indicted over an alleged campaign finance scheme in October, told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow when asked to correct the biggest inaccuracy about his dealings with the president. “He was aware of all of my movements. I wouldn’t do anything without the consent of Rudy Giuliani or the president.”
Speaking in an interview aired on Wednesday night, Parnas said Trump and Giuliani, the president’s personal attorney, directed him to urge Ukrainian officials to publicly open an investigation into a Trump Democratic rival, former Vice President Joe Biden. Parnas asserted that the ouster of Marie Yovanovitch as U.S. ambassador to Ukraine last spring was entirely motivated by her interference in their efforts to start a Biden investigation. And he even apologized to her for his conduct.
Parnas added that Pence, Barr and former national security adviser John Bolton were all aware of or involved in parts of the scheme
I don’t know about everybody else but I watched this last night with a slack jaw.
I mean Parnas even identified the Vice President and the Attorney General as being part of this pressure campaign directed at Ukraine.
That is fucking huge!
Here is Parnas explaining exactly how they pressured newly elected Ukraine president Zelensky to buckle under to their demands:
“It was a heated conversation.” Parnas describes the shakedown. Announce the investigation or you get nothing. pic.twitter.com/8IMjbrYbGk

I do not know what is compelling Parnas to spill his guts like this since it likely will not help his case, but thank all fhe gods that he is doing so.
This morning some of Trump’s supporters have tried to attack Parnas as a convicted felon, which is untrue by the way as he is only under indictment, but I found him incredibly believable and compelling.
And keep in mind that much of what he shared was backed up by documents that he provided to the impeachment investigators, or was already reported out by what Trump refers to as the “fake news.”
Speaking of Parnas documents, more of them were released late yesterday.

House impeachment investigators released a new set of evidence that was obtained from Lev Parnas, an indicted former associate of President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani — including voicemails, photos, and text messages between Parnas and high-level figures within Trump’s orbit.
The material includes voicemail messages Parnas received from Giuliani and Victoria Toensing, a prominent Trump-aligned lawyer, both of whom have been identified as players in an effort to force the removal of the then-U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, during the spring.
“Hey Lev. VT here. We’ve got a request to talk to the big one,” Toensing said in the April 23, 2019, voicemail message. “So I just wanted to get the latest from you, if I could. I know it’s late there. I’m sorry.”
The timing of the Toensing voicemail coincides with a flurry of activity involving Yovanovitch’s ouster. On April 23, Giuliani tweeted that Ukraine was investigating 2016 election interference, and Trump recalled Yovanovitch from Ukraine on April 24.
That is damning stuff right there.
As pointed out by Politico Parnas also named Trump lapdog Devin Nunes as being part of this whole conspiracy, and that caused Nunes to suddenly remember who Parnas was and that yes, he did indeed talk to him.
So now Devin Nunes is admitting he talked to Lev Parnas… He claims when he was asked a few months back, he didn’t recognize the name Parnas pic.twitter.com/3dgoGfsKFd

God, he’s a bad liar.
I don’t know exactly how this will impact the upcoming impeachment trial in the Senate, but I do not see how it can be completely ignored by Mitch McConnell.
