Let’s just say it, if the Republicans win today it’s only because they cheated.

Is this really up for debate?

Courtesy of The Daily Beast

Thousands of would-be voters at risk of being disenfranchised by ultra-strict registration rules. A draconian ID law that could keep Native Americans from the polls en masse. New measures targeting voting by college students. A Hispanic-majority city that moved its lone polling place out of town.

As the 2018 campaign nears its end, experts who track voter suppression say this is the worst it’s been in the modern era. In fact, making it harder to vote, especially for racial minorities, now appears to be—with the possible exception of stoking fear over a group of desperate migrants still about 700 miles from the Texas border—the single most important plank of the GOP’s strategy.

Aside from likely giving Republicans an undeserved boost in several key races, the drive to restrict voting has reached a scale that should raise serious questions about the democratic legitimacy of our elections. And alongside the extreme Republican gerrymander–currently the only reason why the party has even an outside shot at holding onto the House—it represents a massive structural obstacle to Democrats ever achieving the power their popular support deserves. In other words, Republicans can only win by rigging the game.

I won’t mince words here, I fucking hate cheaters.

And I am just surprised that everybody is not on the same page with that.

When I grew up the cheaters on TV and at the movies, were the villains. Right?

They threw sand in the good guy’s face during a fight, slashed their tires during a race, or threatened a loved one if they did not let them emerge victorious.

Nobody in the movie theaters that I attended ever cheered for the guy who sucker punched the hero when he wasn’t looking, so where do these Republicans come from?

Weren’t they also told that “Winners never cheat, and cheaters never win?”

I just don’t get it, but what I do know is that rewarding cheaters only creates more cheaters, and that is the last thing that this country needs more of right now.

So if it takes twice as many Democrats to win this election then by Zeus we will have to pour into those polling places until they are stuffed to the brim with votes honestly cast by Americans who still believe in ethics and fair play.

I mean seriously, what other choice do we have?

Gryphen, if the Republicans win today that will be it for me. I will not follow American politics any longer.

Anon @ 6:49 A.M. – As a fellow Canadian (MB), I will feel the same way; the traitorous GOPigs will have succeeded in dumbing down their ill-informed “base”.

FYI “Up to $5.6 million will go to Motel 6 guests who faced immigration removal proceedings after their personal information was shared. They are eligible to receive at least $7,500 each.

Another $1 million was set aside for guests who were questioned or interrogated by immigration authorities, with each guest receiving $1,000.

The remaining $1 million will go to guests whose information was turned over to immigration authorities from Feb. 1, 2017 to Nov. 2, 2018. They will receive $50 each.

Motel 6 will also pay up to $1.3 million for the plaintiffs’ legal fees and administrative costs.”

Motel 6’s management company, G6 Hospitality, has said it ordered its more than 1,400 U.S. and CANADIAN locations in September to STOP voluntarily giving guest lists to ICE agents.”

        “We are providing enabling capability.”
On Monday Trump made it sound as if the active-duty troops assigned to the border in “Operation Faithful Patriot” would play a prominent and visible role. “Barbed wire looks like it’s going to be very effective, too, with soldiers standing in front of it,”

“By telling thousands of lies and taking meaningless actions he is doing nothing but showing the American people that he is both impotent and pathetic.”

We have a proposal on the ballot to end gerrymandering in MI, it would give the power to redistrict to the citizens not the politicians.

    • Beaglemom November 6, 2018 at 8:20 am

The proposal to end gerrymandering is really a great one. It’s interesting that it and the proposal to make voting more accessible (straight party voting, early voting, etc.) are being vehemently opposed by the GOP. I wonder why????

“Quite frankly, we know the results already, there will be a Democrat representing La Jolla and Solana Beach for the first time in a number of years,” he said. “For now, California is leaning very hard to the left.”

Why on Earth would anyone follow Hannity and Limbaugh, two college drop outs pedaling fear and lining their pockets from the masses who can’t think for themselves?

“gunman shut down a polling place in Palm Bay Florida on Tuesday, reports Florida Today.

The voting booths at the Tony Rosa Community Center were shut down because a man was sitting in his car with a gun nearby.
Police reportedly questioned an 80-year-old man and put him in their patrol car for further questioning.

“We don’t have a crime right now. But he was seen by a passerby sitting in his car with the gun in his lap. The gun was not loaded,” the city’s police chief said.

Palm Bay is a Democrat-dominated city surrounded by a red county.”<rawstory

The State of Georgia now admits that power cords were not provided for the voting machines here.

    POWER cords!

  10. Anon November 6, 2018 at 9:40 am

Yep trump again is disrupting voting all over the nation. Several states are reporting problems. Trump has ordered his republican state election chairman to create problems for voters. Missing voting machines, No electric, Voting place in foreclosure, Printer problems, Crowd control exercise in El Paso, yep you name it and the LIAR is attempting to suppress votes. Trump the RIGGER and KGB hackers are at it today again.

    • Anonymous November 6, 2018 at 2:02 pm

Yep, how in the hell do you forget the electrical plug for voting machines except on purpose !!! Weren’t these machines suppose to be checked out before the election? didn’t they notice the plugs were missing when they set up the machines… boy they aren’t even trying to hide it.

I read that many people were leaving without voting, this is stupid,

  11. Anonymous November 6, 2018 at 10:21 am

Just as Ginger had to do everything Fred did only backwards and in high heels, Democrats must win with a greater than 10% margin in order to win at all. The Texas machines aren’t even hiding the vote flipping, that’s how scared of Beto they are.

  12. Anonymous November 6, 2018 at 2:10 pm

LOL at least there was some justice today, too bad he eventually was able to vote.
Georgia GOP candidate Brian Kemp was foiled by his own state’s voter ID law when he tried to vote

….“It turns out his voting card was invalid,” a reporter with Atlanta’s WSB-TV revealed in a video report on Kemp’s issues voting at his polling place in Winterville, Georgia. …

  13. Anonymous November 6, 2018 at 3:59 pm

Call me paranoid, but I am beginning to wonder if there is a concerted effort by the GOP to sabotage to the polling stations, it would be interesting to see if the person in charge is republican in the areas with the most problems.

I wouldn’t put it past them, after all the party motto is winning at all costs.

  14. Anonymous November 6, 2018 at 4:23 pm

Well it is good to see you started the blame train early. Was wondering how long you were going to take.

    • Gryphen November 6, 2018 at 5:07 pm

I just call it as I see it.

If Republicans weren’t such cheating POS I would not have to call them out for being cheating POS.

  15. Anonymous November 6, 2018 at 5:21 pm

the only way republicans win is by lying and cheating. putin understood this when he decided to take hillary out. the end.
