Joe Biden campaign asks news outlets to please stop giving Rudy Giuliani a platform on which to spread his conspiracy theories.

It really is irresponsible.

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign made an extraordinary request to executives of top news channels on Sunday, asking them to no longer book Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, on their programs.

In a letter addressed to the heads of the major news and cable networks, as well as top news anchors, two top Biden campaign advisers make the case that by peddling routine falsehoods about the work of Biden and his son Hunter in Ukraine, Giuliani’s presence on the airwaves is editorially untenable.

“We are writing today with grave concern that you continue to book Rudy Giuliani on your air to spread false, debunked conspiracy theories on behalf of Donald Trump. While you often fact check his statements in real time during your discussions, that is no longer enough. By giving him your air time, you are allowing him to introduce increasingly unhinged, unfounded and desperate lies into the national conversation,” the letter from top aides Anita Dunn and Kate Bedingfield reads.

“We write to demand that in service to the facts, you no longer book Rudy Giuliani, a surrogate for Donald Trump who has demonstrated that he will knowingly and willingly lie in order to advance his own narrative,” the letter continues.

The Biden campaign letter goes on to note that “Giuliani is not a public official, and holds no public office that would entitle him to opine on the nation’s airwaves.” And it demands that if the former mayor is put on the airwaves, “an equivalent amount of time” be given “to a surrogate for the Biden campaign.”

Now while I admit that the campaign makes a number of good points I don’t think that it would be a good look for any news outlets to publicly comply with this request.

If they do so they would feed into the conspiracy theory that the “liberal” media was blocking Trump and his allies from getting their version of reality out to the American people.

But having said that watching Rudy Giuliani manufacturing “facts” to support his contention that Joe Biden forced a prosecutor out of office for investigating his son and that Ukraine was behind the DNC hack is exhausting.

By the way Giuliani keeps saying that these “affidavits” were found “online” but does not clarify where online he found them, and whether or not they were from official Ukranian government websites or simply conspiracy websites that habitually manufacture documents to push their agenda.

For instance, Hunter Biden was not even working for that Ukrainian company when the corrpt prosecutor was forced out.

This is what another former Ukraine prosecutor said about Giuliani’s attempts to use Ukraine for his political objectives.

Courtesy of LA Times:

Ukraine’s former top law enforcement official says he repeatedly rebuffed demands by President Trump’s personal lawyer to investigate Joe Biden and his son, insisting he had seen no evidence of wrongdoing that he could pursue.

In an interview, Yuri Lutsenko said while he was Ukraine’s prosecutor general he told Rudolph W. Giuliani that he would be happy to cooperate if the FBI or other U.S. authorities began their own investigation of the former vice president and his son Hunter but insisted they had not broken any Ukrainian laws to his knowledge.

Lutsenko, who was fired as prosecutor general last month, said he had urged Giuliani to launch a U.S. inquiry and go to court if he had any evidence but not to use Ukraine to conduct a political vendetta that could affect the U.S. election.

“I said, ‘Let’s put this through prosecutors, not through presidents,’ ” Lutsenko told The Times.

“I told him I could not start an investigation just for the interests of an American official,” he said.

So yeah networks should stop putting Rudy Giuliani on TV.

But not because the Biden campaign asked them not to, but simply because letting him lie to their viewers is journalistic malpractice.

How Trump’s anti-impeachment campaign to confuse Americans could work — if voters aren’t paying attention

President Donald Trump’s strategy to save himself from impeachment is seemingly to point fingers at everyone else, whether it’s the truth or not.

An analysis by columnist Henry Olsen in The Washington Post explained that if Trump can successfully create a conspiracy theory around former Vice President Joe Biden, saying that he is somehow to blame for Trump asking Ukraine for help in the 2020 election.

Step one, according to the outline by The Post, go on the attack against Biden’s son, who is not running for any electoral office. Part two is to bring Republicans together around the idea that Democrats are just sore 2016 losers. Finally, he intends to rally Independent voters around Trump’s troubled economy, claiming it’s amazing.

    Wow!

Annual FBI crime statistics report nearly 30,000 kids under age 10 were arrested in the United States between 2013 and 2017, the most recent data shows

The numbers skyrocket to almost 230,000 for children between the ages of 10 to 12, arrested during the same five-year period

In 2017 alone, 23 children under the age of 10 were arrested for rape, 13 for robbery, 52 for arson, and 362 for larceny and theft, including 9 for vehicle theft

Recent arrests of young children have highlighted the often challenging process law enforcement has for dealing with kids accused of wrong-doing.

As recent child arrests sparked outrage over the way law enforcement handles kids accused of wrongdoing, annual FBI statistics reveal a staggering number of children have been arrested in the US.

The crime statistics show that 26,966 children under the age of 10 were arrested in the United States between the years of 2013 and 2017, according to the most recent data available.

The numbers skyrocket for children between the ages of 10 to 12, according to the FBI, which reported 228,017 have been arrested during the same five-year period, reports ABC News.

So how can he be his personal attorney when he isn’t being paid, there has to be an exchange of “goods” in order to have a contract that he is his attorney.

they need to find the video where rudi states he is no longer trump’s attorney because he wasn’t being paid and he wants to make money, so he is moving on.

I agree that they should keep rudi off TV, however since he keeps indicting himself and trump when he is on, at least there is evidence, so let him yak.

They should give Biden equal air time, but this is getting ridiculous, they are falling in the trump trap of wasting all their energy disproving his hallucinations.

The ex-Republican congresswoman — who lost her seat in last year’s blue wave midterms — asked a small group of advisers over the weekend for feedback on a video announcing a 2020 bid for her old post, with plans to formally kick off her campaign Tuesday, according to a source familiar with the matter. But Tenney publicly posted the video on Vimeo and Daily News was able to review it before it was abruptly taken down Monday afternoon.

There has always been a conspiracy theory about the “liberal” media and there always will be (after all, look at the way they elected Hillary Clinton…..). I disagree most strongly, I think it’s high time Democrats punched back at these arseholes.

Well, if that’s the criteria they should have stopped having Kellyanus Conjob two years ago. And Steven Miller.
