If it didn’t that would mean that Sondland lied under oath. Again.
Courtesy of WaPo:
President Trump was cranky when they spoke on the phone in September, Ambassador Gordon Sondland told members of Congress, but his words were clear: Trump wanted no quid pro quo with Ukraine.
“This is Ambassador Sondland speaking to me,” Trump said outside the White House last week, looking down to read notes he’d taken of Sondland’s testimony. “Here’s my response that he just gave: ‘I want nothing. . . . I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo.’ ”
Sondland’s recollection of a phone conversation that he said took place on Sept. 9 has emerged as a centerpiece of Trump’s defense as House Democrats argue in an impeachment inquiry that he abused his office to pressure Ukraine to investigate Democrats.
However, no other witness testimony or documents have emerged that corroborate Sondland’s description of a call that day.
Trump himself, in describing the conversation, has referred only to the ambassador’s account of the call, which — based on Sondland’s activities — would have occurred before dawn in Washington. And the White House has not located a record in its switchboard logs of a call between Trump and Sondland on Sept. 9, according to an administration official who, like others in this report, spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.
There is, or course, evidence of that earlier phone call between Trump and Ukraine president Zelensky where he prompted him to announce that investigation into the Bidens.
There is also quite a lot of testimony from folks in the know that convincing leaders in the Ukraine to jump through hoops in order to get that military assistance was an ongoing endeavor by Trump associates.
If Sondland is lying, and it certainly appears that he is, that would be at least the second time he has been caught lying to Congress.
Sondland does not appear to me to be the kind of person who does well in prison.
But if he doesn’t straighten this out, that might be exactly where he is headed.

DRIED UP COW
The Editorial Board of The Bee wrote:
Given the frivolous nature of Nunes’ lawsuits, one can easily draw the conclusion that he’s trying to chill free speech by miring his critics in expensive legal proceedings. If that’s the idea, it’s not working. Twitter accounts continue to mock him and the press continues to report on his increasingly grim situation.

“Hey, @DevinNunes, what do I have to say to get you to sue me too,” tweeted former Clinton White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart. “You’re corrupt? You met with a bunch of corrupt Ukrainians. You still wet the bed?”
PeePeeTime?
With that goofy ass grin that pops out from time to time, ol Gordo has nothing to fear in Prison. Even the most hardened of deviants won’t want to touch him. You should never argue with a crazy man.
If he lied about that, all of his other testimony will be called into question.
The lack of a recording or record of the call means nothing. We know this White House. They would certainly destroy any records that would damn Donald Trump in an impeachment trial.
To which I also add, what good is subpoenaed documents when they’re redacted?
What good is a transcript that isn’t accurate?
What good is an ‘inquiry’ that has fallen flat and lost the interest of the public?
Trump may have said that to Sondland but he also told him the specifics of his self serving quid pro quo.
Ooops!
Grasping at straws. This thrown together, laughable, ‘inquiry’ is falling apart like a Chinese motorcycle.
Actually, the inquiry is coming together like flies on a gutpile. I would speculate that trump supporters that can’t seem to admit that they have been conned from the day that donny slithered down the escalator. That ego shit will get you in trouble sooner or later. Functionally illiterate fucking sheep. Fucking as both a verb and an adjective. That is all.
https://www.rawstory.com/2019/11/theres-no-evidence-trumps-september-9-no-quid-pro-quo-conversation-with-sondland-ever-happened-and-that-could-prove-far-worse-for-the-president/
Trump, on the White House lawn, quoted Sondland’s testimony — insisting that it exonerated him and telling reporters, “that means it’s all over.” But attorney Susan Simpson, analyzing impeachment testimony in Just Security, stressed that the only record of a Trump/Sondland phone conservation is for September 7, not September 9.
Simpson explained, “the ‘no quid pro quo’ call did not take place on September 9, as Sondland claimed at one point in his testimony; instead, it took place on September 7. This is shown from the testimony of Tim Morrison, senior director for European affairs for the National Security Council, and Charge D’Affaires Bill Taylor — both of whom were briefed on the call by Sondland shortly after it occurred.”
They’re trying to manufacture exoneration. Trump released the money AFTER the whistleblower investigation started. He’s trying to rewrite history to make it look like there was no extortion and it was before the whistleblower investigation.
I’m surprised they don’t create a recording and forge records to prove Trump is right.
Like they did with Conan. Trump said she was a male dog and after the military came out with a gender correction they had to walk it back and say she was male just so Trump wouldn’t be wrong. He is such a toddler. He wouldn’t touch Conan either. Neither would Melanoma.

Chairman Nadler just called Trump’s bluff.

[1] Based on other text exchanges for which the exact time is known, Volker’s texts appear to have been recorded on Eastern time. If that is the case, then Sondland and Trump must have connected between approximately 1am, when Taylor sent the text, and approximately 5am, just before Sondland’s response to Taylor at 5:19am. It is hard to understand why Sondland would have thought he needed to call the White House at a time when most people – including presumably the president – would be sleeping, in order to ask a non-emergency question of: “What do you want from Ukraine?” Additionally, as the Washington Post reported, the White House has no record of the call. The Post also reported that “impeachment investigators believe the messages were logged in Eastern time, according to people familiar with the inquiry.”
[2] Morrison is clear that this call happened on September 7th, and Sondland does not dispute that Morrison is describing that the “no quid pro quo” call that Sondland testified took place on September 9th. (Sondland Testimony on Nov. 20, 2019)
[3] Additionally, after returning from Warsaw, Morrison went to the NSC lawyers to report Sondland’s conversation with Yermak.
[4] Based on the reported meeting times for the bilateral between Zelenskyy and Pence, these texts were recorded in Eastern time.
[5] This interview was scheduled for September 13th, on CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS, and a renewed effort occurred for a statement in a CNN interview later in September, but neither ultimately took place.

This latter claim by Hanson is belied by reports that Ukraine was, in fact, set to announce an investigation at Trump’s behest on CNN on Sept. 13th, but that move was abruptly abandoned after the aid was released.
It’s why the law also prosecutes for conspiracy. If you plan a murder but don’t succeed in killing your victim, you’ve still committed a crime.
