Inundated with death threats a GoFundMe campaign is started to raise money for Christine Blasey Ford’s security.

Forget foreign terrorists, the most dangerous people in this country are Trump supporters.

Courtesy of The Hill:

A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $130,000 to cover security expenses for Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

The fundraising campaign was started by Heidi Feldman, a law professor at Georgetown University. The campaign originally had a $100,000 goal, which was quickly updated to $175,000 after raising the initial sum within 24 hours.

“Due to death threats, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford (who uses ‘Dr. Blasey’ professionally) and her family have had to leave their residence and arrange for private security,” Feldman writes. “Let’s create a fund to cover her security expenses, to do just a bit to make it easier for women in her position to come forward despite great risks.”

At the writing of this article, the campaign had raised $137,497 from more than 4,300 donors.

But as of today, that number has gone up to $209,987 from 6,658 donors.

I have to say that I find it despicable that American citizens have to raise money to pay for protection to keep them safe from their own president’s supporters.

Had my credit card ready to go and they closed it at 3:00 a.m. California time with over $209,000! If it reopens I’ll be there.

“We are alumnae of the Holton-Arms School, and we are writing in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, a fellow Holton graduate.

We believe Dr. Blasey Ford and are grateful that she came forward to tell her story. It demands a thorough and independent investigation before the Senate can reasonably vote on Brett Kavanaugh‘s nomination to a lifetime seat on the nation’s highest court…

““Did y’all hear this latest late-breaking news on the Kavanaugh hearings?” “Ruth Bader Ginsburg came out saying she was groped by Abraham Lincoln.”

Oh it was only a “joke” .

What Brett did is assault/battery and I believe it is called a FELONY not a joke!!!

“What Brett did is assault/battery and I believe it is called a FELONY not a joke!!!”

Actually, he has not ‘done’ anything. He has been accused by one person that has yet to testify or provide ANY evidence.

Your little lynch mob will not win this.

      Not a funny joke.

“Brett Kavanaugh joined both a fraternity that was later banned for chanting “no means yes” in front of the campus women’s center and a secret society with an crude nickname that appeared to be based upon members hooking up with women as much as possible.” “According to the Yale paper, “Since Kavanaugh’s graduation in 1987, DKE’s reputation for mistreating women at Yale has only grown. Yale banned DKE from campus for five years in 2011 after videos circulated of fraternity recruits chanting ‘no means yes, yes means anal’ in front of the University’s Women’s Center.” “the group from its heyday in the 80s, it was winkingly referred to less as “Truth and Courage” and more as “Tits and Clit.”

I have a feeling if they really did an indepth investigation they would find other women that he has assaulted, he is a drunk and has a gambling problem.

      • Anonymous September 21, 2018 at 6:01 am

So far there are NO women that have been found that he has assaulted. ZERO. Not one women.

He has ONE accuser that has yet to testify or provide any evidence.

Sorry, but he will be on the court.

“(Psssssst, Senator Collins: There hasn’t been an FBI investigation yet and Dr. Blasey Ford and her family have had to go into hiding because people who vote for your political party have been threatening and harassing and death threating her. There’s two reasons we thought of real fast, guess because Wonkette is WAY FUCKING SMARTER than a common Maine GOP senator.)”

“Republicans like Chuck Grassley and Lindsey Graham insist that based on their very busy schedule, which they just made up right now, they MUST do a hearing on Monday, so they can go ahead and vote a possible rapist onto the Supreme Court. We should take the time to get this right.”

Except Susan Collins, we guess. We guess that particular goddamned idiot is dumber than a common Donald Trump, or she just doesn’t care about women as much as she says she does.

Please send this Wonkette post to Susan Collins and tell her to do the right thing for the first time in her goddamned life, and remind her that people are still raising money for her 2020 opponent. ”

It is absolutely disgusting that she needs to hire security to protect herself and her family. This is not only the fault of trump supporters, but also all those old geezers in Congress that think she is “just confused”.

Wake up women and get out and vote !! Send Orin Hatch, Grassley and even Susan Collins (who really should be ashamed of herself) to the unemployment office.

John Dean said he was in a witness protection program and that needs to happen for Dr. Blasey Ford.

“Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee are NOW lOOking into the possibility of an outside counsel who is female to question [Dr.] Christine Blasey Ford— if a hearing actually happens,”

On MSNBC tonight they commented that Kavanaugh continues to be spending his days at the White House preparing for Monday’s hearing through “mock interviews”. The staff is prepping Kavanaugh with potential questions and answers for the hearing. Kavanaugh is also being protected by the Secret Service where Dr. Blasey and her family are on their own as far as security.

Personally, I hope Dr. Blasey testifies next week even though I think it will be a brutal Q&A from the idiot Republicans, who haven’t evolved since the Clarence Thomas nomination hearings 27 years ago.

    • Anonymous September 20, 2018 at 4:08 pm

White House guy has a prolific history of accusations of all kinds of sexual issues with women. He and his are stellar with prevarications. So, Kavanaugh practices his lies with liars.
Kavanaugh prepping with that group is not what I would call a good move.

    ‘Dear Chairman Grassley:
Thank you for the invitation to appear before the Senate Committee on the Judiciary on Monday, September 24. I will be there. I look forward to the opportunity to testify before the Committee.
I also appreciate the time that Committee staff took to interview me on Monday, September 17. During that interview, I twice requested a Committee hearing for the following day, Tuesday, September 18. I continue to want a hearing as soon as possible, so that I can clear my name.
Since the moment I first heard this allegation, I have categorically and unequivocally denied it. I remain committed to defending my integrity.
    Brett M. Kavanaugh’

“Donald Trump has a long history of defending men accused in thee circumstances and shifting blame to the alleged victims,”

  12. Impeach September 20, 2018 at 4:51 pm

“Kavanaugh is a sitting federal judge. If he committed a sexual assault, Democrats from the House and Senate would act to remove him from the federal bench.

Republicans need to take this warning seriously because they are kicking a hornets’ nest and are about to get stung. Democrats aren’t going to forget or move on. “

  13. Anon September 20, 2018 at 6:44 pm

“Fact: There’s really no typical profile for a sexual assaulter because so few cases are reported.

Around 750,000 people were raped and sexually assaulted in 2015 and 2016, but only 37 percent of these cases were reported to the police, according to the National Crime Victimization Survey. This limits our understanding of who commits sexual assault and why.

“Unlike other types of criminal offenders, those who commit sexual offenses can be very varied,””
“Men commit 90 to 95 percent of sexual assaults.
Most of the perpetrators are white
The overwhelming majority of these cases involve men attacking women, though male-on-male and female-on-male sex crimes are common, too.
Data also shows sexual assault disproportionately affects youth.

“Younger persons are more likely to be both offenders and victims of crime, including rape and sexual assault,” “These sexual offenses begin to spike right as men head to college. Once puberty begins around the age of 10, the rate of arrests for rape begins to steadily rise.” ““What we find with college students is that those who are most likely to sexually assault women have friends who encourage that and friends who do it,” “If men in these groups feel that they’re not getting as much sex as their friends, then they’re more likely to engage in sexual aggression so that they could live up to their peers’ expectations.”
“Humans typically need repetition to learn and remember. But traumatic memories can form after a single, life-threatening event because, from an evolutionary perspective, your brain may have only one chance to capture it.

For this reason, traumatic memories last our whole lives and are vivid — filled with details like sounds, scents and sights. Traumatic memories are reinforced by our brain’s fear center — the amygdala”

Get rid of the electoral college. That’s the real issue.
This woman looks like she just spent 16 hours going 115 mph on a snow machine. What’s up with her whole face?

  15. Anonymous September 22, 2018 at 7:18 pm

She’s already been doxed and the guy that did it was only banned from Twitter for 12 hours. He laughed when he returned and then continued to release her personal information which of course is all over the web now. So that rabid rightwingnut Deplorables can choose their weapon of choice from that arsenal they’ve stockpiled and go hunting for the “traitorous libruls” that are opposing the wishes of their King, er, Emperor, uh, ….Führer?
