They said they were going to do, and now they are doing it.

House Democrats have officially introduced a resolution to hold Attorney General William Barr and former White House counsel Don McGahn in contempt of Congress for failing to comply with congressional subpoenas.

The contempt resolution allows House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) to go to court to seek civil enforcement of the subpoena for Barr to turn over special counsel Robert Mueller’s unredacted report and underlying evidence, as well as for McGahn to provide documents and public testimony.

The resolution also gives any committee chair the rare power to go to federal court to seek civil enforcement of subpoenas, both current and future orders, so long as they are granted approval by the Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group.

The House Rules Committee is expected to mark up the resolution to hold Barr and McGahn in contempt on Monday, according to a Democratic congressional aide, and the full House is slated to vote on the resolution Tuesday.

The Trump Administration was really worried about the Attorney General being held in contempt and tried to get the Democrats to hold off on this while they continued stonewalling the investigation.

Clearly, the House Democrats were not interested in waiting.

I think this will send a strong message to other uncooperative current and former members of the Administration that the Democrats are done fucking around.

Finally, they gave him at least two chances, one should have been enough. The Democrats have to stop playing “Mr. Nice Guy” and show these clowns they mean business.

Contempt votes like the ones that Rep. Cummings is discussing get national attention. The contempt vote is broadcast on national television and allows Democrats to make their case to the American people about Trump criminality. The broader American public isn’t there yet on impeachment, but contempt votes and other public steps are a way to build the case against TRUMP.

“If they want to come after me, I gladly accept it, because we could just make the Biden stuff bigger news,” Giuliani told The Daily Beast. “Do it! Give me a chance to give a couple speeches about it and hold a press conference. I’d love that… I think it’d be a fun fight. I’ll just compare it to all the things they’re not investigating… If they want, we can have a big fight over this.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler’s (D-NY) plans on introducing a resolution next week that would allow committees to sue the Trump administration and witnesses from the Mueller probe who do not comply with subpoenas, according to Democratic aides.

Giuliani would be, perhaps, the highest-profile investigative target to date.<THIS!

Speaking to The Daily Beast last month, the day before he nixed the trip, Giuliani said that he was briefing the president on his progress in Ukraine. He also noted that, based on their private conversations, he believed he had the full blessing of President Trump to keep digging on any actions Biden had taken. He mocked critics who accused him of “going after poor Joe.”

“The answers lie in Ukraine,” Giuliani insisted then. CRIMEa!!
In addition to Giuliani’s efforts in Ukraine, congressional Democrats are also said to be interested in the trips he has taken to Armenia and Romania.
“I hope they do investigate me for that because I would resist… and go on a rampage,” Giuliani said. “I’ll tell them I won’t comply [with a subpoena or any request] unless you investigate Biden first!”

He then added that such a probe, if launched by Democratic lawmakers, “would be harassment of the worst kind,” and that it would “also [be] interfering in my role as an attorney” for President Trump."
