Did you see that?
No whining, or playing the victim, no dissemination of obvious lies scattered around like horse shit at a racetrack.
It was actually…oh what’s the word for that again…..presidential.
I could get used to this.
Here is also a portion of an op-ed posted by Joe and Jill Biden on CNN:
It is not a small sacrifice. These moments with our loved ones — time that’s lost — can’t be returned. Yet, we know it’s the price of protecting each other and one we don’t pay alone. Isolated in our own dining rooms and kitchens, scattered from coast to coast, we are healing together.
Still, like you, our family will hold on to our most important tradition: taking a moment to count the many reasons we have to be grateful.
We are grateful for the frontline workers who have never stopped showing up over these long and confusing months, making sure our food is harvested and shipped, keeping our grocery stores stocked, picking up our trash, and keeping our cities and towns safe.
We are grateful for the health care workers who put in long shifts and isolate themselves from their loved ones, the nurses who comfort and help people say one last goodbye, and the doctors who fight for every breath.
We are grateful for the educators who learned to teach in virtual classrooms almost overnight, who did extra work to reach families without adequate technology or who took late-night phone calls from parents on the verge of tears.
We are grateful for the parents who have carried their families through the chaos, working or searching for a job, while navigating childcare and remote learning.
We are grateful for the researchers and scientists who have spent this year learning everything they can to understand how to fight this pandemic and are working tirelessly to find a vaccine and therapeutics.
We are grateful for the American spirit of our people, who do not cower in the face of crisis and hardship but instead come together to lift up one another. All those who lost jobs but not heart, who donated to food banks or asked their neighbors, What can I do? How can I help? We’re grateful for everyone who reminded us that we are bigger than the challenges we face.
Most of all, we are grateful for the faith and trust we have been given to continue serving this beautiful, brave, complicated nation as your future President and first lady.
This year of loss has revealed our collective strength. It has shown us that our lives are connected in ways unseen — that we can be apart without being alone.
Oh yeah, I could definitely get used to this.
Joe is a deeply decent man.

I hope President elect Joe calls him too.
That should be forever viewed.
“Upon learning that Tyler got the call, Clinton suggested the artwork should follow Harris to Washington.
“His portrait of her deserves prime placement in Number One Observatory Circle (where VP Harris& @DouglasEmhoff will live Jan. 20th). On Thanksgiving eve, grateful for Kamala & Tyler!”
Tyler, who has met the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson and other celebrities for his art, told a local television station that Harris is an inspirational figure to him because she’s overcome obstacles to get where she is.
“She broke through tons of barriers and I broke through tons of barriers myself with my stutter, me being in a wheelchair for two years and me being deaf since I was six,” he said. “I broke through tons of barriers and I feel like she represents that.””
{Tyler should paint the President-elect portrait too!}
https://www.news18.com/news/buzz/us-teen-impresses-vice-president-elect-kamal-harris-magnificent-monochrome-portrait-3123359.html
Last week Tyler posted a video of him creating a monochrome portrait of Harris and tagged her, President-elect Joe Biden, and VP’s husband Douglas Emhoff. In the caption, Tyler requested his followers to retweet the video and tag her so that Harris could see this work.
The video has received over 1.2 million views and 63.2k likes till now.
NBC Bay Area reported how the 56-year-old politician called Gordon last week to thank him for the portrait. Harris said that she is overwhelmed with just the magnificence of Tyler’s artistry. Speaking on the phone call Harris told the teenage artist that he really has a gift, “my goodness, such a gift. I was so touched to see it”,
Tyler said that he relates to Harris as she broke through myriad barriers and he too broke through tons of barriers himself with his stutter, him being in a wheelchair for two years and him being deaf since he was six. Tyler says that Harris represents that struggle of breaking through stereotypes and societal barriers which he understands perfectly well.

How refreshing to hear a president that speaks English in complete sentences !!!!

In reality, Trump has been a loser many times over. “In fact, his greatest success flowed not from real estate but from the creation of a popular alternate-reality television persona — Donald Trump, master of the boardroom — that he ultimately rode to the White House,” Barry writes. “But his famous aversion to the label of loser has now reached its apotheosis.”

https://theconversation.com/parler-is-bringing-together-mainstream-conservatives-anti-semites-and-white-supremacists-as-the-social-media-platform-attracts-millions-of-trump-supporters-150439
As the three highest-profile social media companies – YouTube, Facebook and Twitter – continue to take action to mitigate the spread of extremism and disinformation, Parler has welcomed the ensuing exodus of right-wing users. It has exploded in popularity, doubling its members to 10 million during the month of November – although it is still dwarfed by Twitter’s roughly 330 million monthly active users.
While it’s too early to tell if Parler is here to stay, it has already achieved a reputation and level of engagement that has overtaken other alternative platforms. But along with its success comes the reality that extremist movements like QAnon and the Boogalooers have thrived in the platform’s unregulated chaos.
Parler has only two community guidelines: It does not knowingly allow criminal activity, and it does not allow spam or bots on its platform. The lack of guidelines on hate speech has allowed racism and anti-Semitism to flourish on Parler.
Among the alternative platforms, Parler stands out because white supremacists, QAnon adherents and mainstream conservatives exist in close proximity. This results in comment threads on politicians’ posts that are a melting pot of far-right beliefs, such as a response to Donald Trump Jr.’s unfounded allegations of election crimes that states,
“Civil war is the only way to drain the swamp.”
Notably, conservative billionaire Robert Mercer and his daughter, Rebekah, are investors in the platform. Rebekah Mercer helped co-found it with Matze. The Mercers are well known for their investments in other conservative causes, including Nigel Farage’s Brexit campaign, Breitbart News and Cambridge Analytica. The connection to Cambridge Analytica has, in particular, alarmed experts, who worry that Parler may harvest unnecessary data from unwitting users.
A major factor is how Trump himself reacts, and whether he eventually creates an account on Parler.

In one email, Bender attached a link of the pope’s statement congratulating Biden and then wrote, “This is how you get priest covered in gasoline, and set on fire.”
“I think if Christ were to come back today, he’d spend a good bit of his time punching you… right in the face every time you made some self-serving and… virtue signaling statement, how many times would you need to get slapped before you stopped?”

Former CIA Director John Brennan, a frequent Trump critic who was denied access to his own classified file by the president, said the Biden administration should carefully weigh the question of Trump’s access to future secrets.
“The new administration would be well-advised to conduct an immediate review to determine whether Donald Trump should have continued access to classified information in light of his past actions and deep concern about what he might do in the future,”

The official said that basic details pertaining to Trump’s conversations with foreign leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, will only be shared if they are relevant to a pending policy or national security matter.
“There’s a lot to cover,” the senior US official said. “We are going to share anything that’s relevant for them to come to grips with reality when the keys are theirs. If there was something like that that’s actually of note… things on the covert side, for example, we will highlight them very quickly.”
