Here is Trump declaring that he is the “chosen one.”

President Donald Trump on Wednesday adopted a religious theme in describing his role in picking a trade fight with China, saying: “I am the chosen one.”

The president turned to look at the sky as he made the claim, using language that some Christians might consider offensive, because in Christian theology Jesus Christ is the “chosen one” and the savior.

Trump made the comment during a rambling question-and-answer session with reporters on the White House South Lawn that lasted 35 minutes. The “chosen one” claim marked a departure from his past trade war rhetoric and came as he mainly recycled several oft-repeated statements.

Remember these comments come on the heels of Trump’s tweets saying that he is “the second coming of God.”

I think we ignore these comments at our peril.

Considering Trump’s past egomaniacal behavior how much of a leap is it to consider that he might actually believe himself to be a god?

Nostradamus predicted two anti-christs at the end of the first millenium; Stalin and Hitler. He also predicted one at the beginning of the second millenium. The fat orange fuck is beyond deranged. Forget the 25th, or impeachment. A fuckin’ military intervention is needed!

Abbafan, I have to agree with you. We need to literally physically remove him because he has too much power over the courts and other branches of our supposed checks and balances to get him out otherwise. Cuff him and drag him out. He’s literally destroying us from the inside out.

    • POS-POTUS August 21, 2019 at 5:45 pm

None of us can possibly know what goes on behind the scenes, so what is this??
He knows that no one is going to remove him?
He knows that 2020 is in the bag for him no matter how we vote?
He knows the media are such cowards that they’re becoming irrelevant?

The outright audacity I can’t get my head around.
Score one for me that I’m speechless. Imagine myself if I not only understood, but applauded it.

Donald Trump told a crowd of veterans on Wednesday that he wanted to award himself the Medal of Honor.

According to the president, the only reason he didn’t move forward with it is that his advisers told him he didn’t qualify to receive such an award.

“Nothing like the Medal of Honor. I wanted one, but they told me I don’t qualify,” Trump told the crowd at the AMVETS convention in Kentucky. “I said, ‘Can I give it to myself anyway?’”

He added, “They said, ‘I don’t think that’s a good idea.’”

what an insult to the veterans by the draft dodging, fake cadet bone spurs.

What in the hell does he deserve a medal of honor for, he has no honor, he never served in the military even working as a file clerk.

Trump threatened to release thousand of ISIS fighters into Germany, France, and other parts of Europe.

Trump said, “We’re holding thousands of ISIS fighters right now. And Europe has to take them. And if Europe doesn’t take them, I’ll have no choice but to release them into the countries from which they came. Which is Germany and France and other places. We beat them. We captured them. We have them, and now, as usual, our allies say oh no, we don’t want them, even though they came from France, and Germany, and other places, so we’re going to tell them, and we’ve already told them to take these prisoners that we’ve captured, because the United States is not going to put them in Guantanamo for the next fifty years, and pay for it.”

When things aren’t going well — Trump promotes his superiority ‘as a near deity’: Trump biographer

    • '$IR' August 22, 2019 at 6:34 am

Nothing to smile or ‘chuckle’ about…
“Trump’s most significant “tell” that he’s lying is when he gestures wildly.”
“Whenever the president gestures wildly, the more he gestures, the more you know that he’s lying and that he’s trying to sell you something,”
“But I think this is the secret voice that’s inside of him. He does think of himself as a near deity. He imagines he’s a very stable genius. When things are tough for him, he actually retrenches to this automatic pressing of his superiority, his dominance over the news cycle in this case.”
“He probably had Ivanka come in and critique and tell him how it looked. She said, ‘It looks terrific, Daddy.’ This is absurd. To quote the prime minister of Denmark, this is absurd. This is an absurd man.”
““He was making a play for the evangelical base, which has fetishized Israel and has done a complete 180 from — regarding Israel — to necessary as armageddon and planning on them being wiped out in the war that will end civilization, to embracing Israel, and saying we’re also like the Jews,” D’Antonio went on. “‘We evangelicals are like the Jews, and we’re with you.’ And the last thing that I think is really notable.””

‘He’s empty’: Psychiatrist warns Trump is in a ‘psychotic-like state’

“…..Absolutely. Donald Trump, because he has a fundamental need to be all-powerful and all loved, can’t stand challenges,” Dr. Dodes said. “And the nature of democracy is that it challenges people. We have more than one opinion. So the more — it was predictable once he got into a position where people would challenge him, there are two parties, he would become more unhinged.”

“The more he is challenged, the more un He can’t stand anything that disagrees with him, and the more you challenge him, the more unhinged he becomes, the more paranoid, and the more violent, potentially,” he said.

    • 1284 August 22, 2019 at 7:05 am

“rump, because he has a fundamental need to be all-powerful and all loved, can’t stand challenges,” – ”
Wednesday’s press availability on the White House South Lawn showed exactly that, he explained.
” “He stopped responding to the questions, and instead, he started to talk about how people were agents of fake news. He said that they would go out of business soon. They would die…This is the same kind of thing that he did when he was a candidate when he suggested someone protesting at his campaign rally be taken out and beaten up.”
“O’Donnell asked about the strange relationship between the president and Kim Jong Un, who the president has said he’s fallen in love with.

“He doesn’t really love anyone except himself,” Dr. Dodes explained. “That’s not a slur, that’s a psychological fact. People like him are about him. And we see this not only with the North Korean leader but with all the people he surrounded himself for most of his life who are now recognized as CRIMINALS . As long as they stay loyal to him, he loves them. As soon as they challenge him, as soon as they disagree, then they’re terrible people.”
““If he’s not useful to him, he stops loving him. That’s part of the essential emptiness of Donald Trump. He doesn’t have real relationships with people. Maybe his personal family”
” The more you press him, the more you see how disorganized and empty he is. The more he flies into a disorganized rage.”

Trump keeps flip-flopping on critical issues because ‘his presidency exists in his mind to aggrandize him’: CNN commentator

“We’re following breaking news, including a head-spinning series of flips and flops and flips by President Trump on major policy issues, all coming in a rant in which he praised himself extravagantly,” said host Brianna Keilar. “Let’s dig deeper now with our experts and our analysts to try on dissect some of what happened today. He walked back a lot of his positions today. And forward, back, and forward, back, and forward. Gun control, payroll tax, whether he’s going visit Denmark. He consistently, though, praised himself.”

Ice is melting…Arctic war is coming

The diplomatic row that has erupted between Washington and Copenhagen over Greenland is just one part of a broader strategic battle being waged over control of the Arctic, according to one expert.

    • Anonymous August 22, 2019 at 6:44 am

      – What role does Europe play? –

“It’s possible that this whole hullabaloo is a political, media and economic test balloon designed to see how strongly Europeans feel about Greenland,”

      – What does Trump stand to gain? –

Mered said the issue allows Trump to “make strides in the Arctic and at home”.

“Looking at the presidential election, he has everything to gain by carrying on: he gets the Democrats out of the news at a critical time with the start of campaigning for the primaries and he himself is kicking off a bunch of rallies.

“(In the US), nobody knows where Greenland is, how it’s run… There are so many things going on, he can continue to drag this out for several weeks.”

The Trump Doctrine Is Sicker and More Terrifying Than Ever

You’ve heard of the Truman Doctrine. The Reagan Doctrine. The Bush Doctrine. The Powell Doctrine. The Obama Doctrine. Maybe you liked them, maybe you didn’t. But they existed, and you could roughly define what they were.

But what in the world is the Trump Doctrine? It’s whatever oozes out of his brain at any given moment, and this week may already constitute the most gob-smacking series of oozes in his presidency. I know that’s a big claim, but seriously. We all should, even though it’s shocking and potentially dangerous to the world, savor this moment in a way. It’s not often we get to see any public person, let alone the president of the United States, melt down like this in front of our eyes.

Trump Administration Launches Plan to Indefinitely Detain Migrant Children

Under the new regulations, set to go into effect 60 days from this Friday pending the approval of a federal judge, the Trump administration would formally abolish the Flores agreement’s key standard of care: a 20-day limit on holding children in immigration detention. While McAleenan stated that “there is no intent to hold families for a long period of time,” the rule change would allow for families to be held in detention indefinitely, pending a final ruling on their case.

I hope all the sharks die.” He was like riveted. He was like obsessed. It’s so strange, I know.” – “He kept rubbing my leg and was like, “You know, you’re so beautiful. It’s a very smart nose, like an eagle.” I was like, “Just keep digging, dude. Keep digging that hole.” Like I said, we had this banter. I was kind of mean to him. Report shows US deficit to exceed $1 trillion next year

By KEVIN FREKING – The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) The federal budget deficit is expected to balloon to more than $1 trillion in the next fiscal year under the first projections taking into account the big budget deal that President Donald Trump and Congress reached this summer, the Congressional Budget Office reported Wednesday.

The return of $1 trillion annual deficits comes despite Trump’s vow when running for office that he would not just balance the budget but pay down the entire national debt.
