GOP spokesman for Kavanaugh nomination steps down amid accusations of his own sexual misconduct.

I was surprised by this, but then I thought why am I surprised by this?

Courtesy of NBC News:

A press adviser helping lead the Senate Judiciary Committee’s response to a sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has stepped down amid evidence he was fired from a previous political job in part because of a sexual harassment allegation against him.

Garrett Ventry, 29, who served as a communications aide to the committee chaired by Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, had been helping coordinate the majority party’s messaging in the wake of Christine Blasey Ford’s claim that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her 36 years ago at a high school party. In a response to NBC News, Ventry denied any past “allegations of misconduct.”

After NBC News raised questions about Ventry’s employment history and the sexual harassment allegation against him, Judiciary Committee Spokesman Taylor Foy replied in a statement: “While (Ventry) strongly denies allegations of wrongdoing, he decided to resign to avoid causing any distraction from the work of the committee.”

I am going to have to start taking a shower after I write some of these posts.

Nominated by a serial sexual predator, accused of attempted rape, and now even the guy talking to the media about his nomination process is accused of sexual harassment.

Is the price of admission to this club that you be a disgusting pig?

The answer to your question is YES Gryph.

And this cretin came from the same PR firm that Swift Boated John Kerry, publicized that asshole Whelan’s “theory” blaming another guy, and organized the press conference of insufferable Republican women who know and luv Brett Kavanaugh. A cesspool of hate and misogyny. Inevitable that the years of this crap would produce Trump

“All indications are that Dr. Ford is not alone. Buckle up – that includes you Mark Judge. #Basta,”

He declined to answer some questions altogether, saying they were tOO personal”

“I’m not going to answer that,”

” Democrats may decide to wage war on Kavanaugh AFTER he goes on the Supreme Court, which has never happened before.

We are now in the #MeToo era, and with the sexism and misogyny of serial sex offender Donald Trump, women are fed up with politics as usual. There is no longer a free pass for sex offenses, as many powerful men have discovered over the past few years.

On top of that, many people feel that Trump’s presidency is not legitimate, and he should not be allowed to make a lifetime appointment to a position that will determine the civil rights of Americans for decades to come.” We must remember that sexual assault allegations are not the only problem with Kavanaugh’s nomination. He has been charged with lying to Congress under oath, by several Democratic U.S. Senators. He also has a documented gambling problem, and there are unresolved questions about a $200,000 debt of his that mysteriously disappeared.

Plus, the police in Maryland have said they will open a criminal investigation into Ford’s alleged sex crimes if they are requested to do so. This would mean a member of the Supreme Court would be facing an impeachment inquiry in Congress and a criminal inquiry in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Once a Democratically-controlled House picks up the rock of Kavanaugh’s life history, there is no telling what slimy creatures will crawl out and be exposed to the light of day.” $WamP MonstEr$

“even more absurd” than the ones Anita Hill made a generation ago against Clarence Thomas. NO harm was done since it was “supposedly an attempt that never went anywhere.”
” To insinuate that an assault shouldn’t be taken seriously because it ‘never really went anywhere’ is as dangerous as it is offensive. It’s unfortunate that this even needs to be said, but clearly it does – sexual assault is never OK.” OK

“When the comedian, once known as “America’s Dad,” is sentenced to what could be up to 10 years in prison this week for drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in 2004, it will be perhaps the starkest evidence yet that the #MeToo movement has permanently altered the way the country reckons with sexual misconduct by powerful men.

“I’m hoping that’s a permanent change – that there isn’t the idea that you get to a point of success that you can do whatever you want,”
“In closing arguments, prosecutors specifically called out Cosby’s lawyers for targeting the women’s credibility, saying those attacks discourage victims from speaking up.

Experts said the #MeToo movement’s work is far from over.”
