Tucker Carlson says women making more money than men leads to “more drug and alcohol abuse, higher incarceration rates, fewer families formed for the next generation” pic.twitter.com/gpAKgy0snV

“In many areas, women suddenly made more than men. Now before you applaud that as a victory for feminism consider some of the effects. Study after study has shown that when men make less than women, women generally don’t want to marry them. Now maybe they should want to marry them, but they don’t. Over big populations, this causes a drop in marriage, a spike in out of wedlock births, and all the familiar disasters that inevitably follow. More drug and alcohol abuse, higher incarceration rates, fewer families formed in the next generation. This is not speculation, it’s not propaganda from the Evangelicals. It’s social science. We know it’s true.”
“Study after study?”
Where are these studies?
My guess is that they are “studies” done by Evangelicals and others who fear capable strong women.
I am not exactly sure what Tucker would suggest that women do in order to make the menfolk want them more.
Should they turn down jobs where they might end up making too much moola for any man to want to put a ring on it?
Or perhaps they should simply forgo any type of career and just wait by the curb for a man to rescue them, and keep them barefoot and pregnant in the two-bedroom basement apartment that the average single paycheck family can still afford.
I swear Carlson must think he is living in an episode of Mad Men.
