Federal health workers were warned not to contradict Trump online after mass shootings.

When Donald Trump targeted mental illness as the cause of the mass shootings that killed 31 people in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, federal health officials made sure no government experts might contradict him.

A Health and Human Services (HHS) directive on 5 August warned communication staffers not to post anything on social media related to mental health, violence and mass shootings without prior approval.

That alarmed some government mental health experts who said they felt muzzled at a moment many Americans were searching for answers to the US epidemic of mass shootings, said three agency employees.

Many researchers and mental health experts said Trump’s comments contradicted well-established research.

“Mental illness and hatred pull the trigger. Not the gun,” Trump said immediately after the shootings. In the following days, he doubled down on his statement, arguing that America should reopen mental institutions shuttered decades ago as a way to address mass shootings.

While mental illness is sometimes a factor in such shootings, it is rarely a predictor, according to a growing body of research. Most studies of mass shooters have found that no more than a quarter of them have diagnosed mental illness. Researchers have noted more commonly shared attributes include a strong sense of resentment, desire for notoriety, obsession with other shooters, a history of domestic violence, narcissism and access to firearms.

“To say that scientists and experts who know the data and facts best are not allowed to speak – that’s very concerning,” said Dominic Sisti, a University of Pennsylvania professor who studies ethics in mental health and psychiatry. “It’s especially alarming that they’re doing this at a critical moment when what we need most is research and evidence-based facts about mental illness.”

This is flat out censorship of government employees, and is especially egregious because their expertise and knowledge could be so crucial to keeping the public informed about the facts concerning a very frightening situation.

Thankfully I am not a federal emplyee so I was quick to point out his lies and offer facts to counter his bullshit.

We actually need an army to publicly point out when Trump lies to the public.

It is damn near a full time job.

‘I want to step on bloodied corpses and hear the squelching of their wounds’: Florida teen is arrested after posting grotesque threats to ‘shoot up’ a Florida school on a video game messaging app

A Florida student has been arrested after threatening to ‘shoot up’ a school so he could ‘step on the bloodied corpses’ of victims, in a graphically violent post he made online.

The student at Nova High School in Davie allegedly made the threats on video game messaging app Discord.

‘I want to shoot up a school. This is a genuine feeling. I want people to suffer,’ the unnamed student wrote, reports the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

‘I want to step on and or over their bloodied corpses and her [hear] the squelching of their wounds forcing out that last bit of blood,’ menaced the student, adding that he wanted to also ‘blow their heads off to make sure they’re dead.’

He went on to say that he wanted to see the reactions on anyone who survived.

‘I wish to see those I haven’t shot shake in fear and scream and cry at such a heinous act. Then see the shock on their faces once I’ve shot them too.’

In the process of taking from the motor vehicle in order to render medical treatment, law enforcement saw various firearms and weapons.

Among the items they seized from the car were a semi-automatic assault handgun, a 9mm semi-automatic assault pistol with a high-capacity magazine, a loaded 9mm pistol, and a stripped AR-15 bolt carrier, according to the complaint.

Police then obtained a search warrant for Rubino’s home, where they found 14 more firearms, including assault rifles, shotguns, and handguns.

They also found four high-capacity magazines, ammunition, a grenade launcher, silencer tubes and a ballistics vest.

‘The New Normal’: Conspiracy-Fueled, Red-Pilled White Male Mass Killers
The rising tide mass killers are popping up in an endless sequence now, all with common characteristics and influences.

The toxic plague of red-pilled young men inspired by insane conspiracy theories to commit horrifying acts of mass murder and random violence is now reaching a fever stage: In the past month alone, there have been 11 separate incidents involving such plots, including three acts of mass violence and eight would-be mass killings caught in the planning stages.

In addition to the mass murders in Gilroy, Califorinia, and El Paso, Texas, as well as the serial killings by two young red-pilled Canadians, police in localities spread around the United States have arrested men planning to commit mass killings in seven different incidents. A CNN report found a total of 27 arrests for making threats in the wake of those killings, though only six of these involved actual plots to murder people.

The majority of these arrests have occurred in rapid succession since the El Paso massacre, suggesting once again that the murder plots are being inspired by each other sequentially.

Courts And Police Wrestle With Spate Of ‘Red-Pilled’ Domestic Terrorists Radicalized Online
For the better part of two decades, Americans have generally ignored their quietly mounting problem of homegrown domestic terrorism committed by white far-right extremists

For the better part of two decades, Americans have generally ignored their quietly mounting problem of homegrown domestic terrorism committed by white far-right extremists: Both the numbers and the history demonstrate that, both officially and in the media, we have underinvested in monitoring and confronting such terrorism and the forces that fuel it. Indeed, domestic terrorism is not even a prosecutable federal crime.

Now that inattention is coming home to roost as the rising tide of white nationalism isthreatening to swamp us with a fresh wave of domestic terrorism committed by “red-pilled” young men brimming with anger and extremism—and two recent cases suggest how poorly prepared we are to handle it in the realm of law enforcement and the courts.

The arrest in the first case—out of Monroe, Washington, and the Snohomish County court system—occurred in December, when 20-year-old Dakota Reed’s violent Facebook posts under the nom de plume Rudolf Höss, taken from the commandant of Auschwitz, finally attracted police attention: “I’m shooting for 30 Jews,” he posted on Nov. 11. “No pun needed. Long ways away anyways. See you Goys.”

He was freed on $50,000 bond, yet only four months later, he was booked into jail again after police found even more Facebook posts threatening mayhem and death. “Y’all mind if I go in to a random courthouse in the movie Narnia and take my M32 grenade launcher?” he asked his readers. He also posted a meme featuring the character of Yoda from Star Wars that read, “Coming for my guns, the police is. Booby trapped with explosives, my front door has been.”
