Ex-Fox News host Eboni K. Williams took aim at her former employer on Thursday, saying the network has a reputation for bigotry and racism “for very good reason.”

On the New York radio show “The Breakfast Club,” Williams said the key to understanding the widely watched conservative network was in making sense of its founder Roger Ailes. Ailes died at the age of 77 in 2017, a year after leaving the network amid a sexual misconduct scandal.

Williams told the radio show’s co-host Charlamagne tha God that Ailes had only one mission in mind for the network ― and that was “the demonizing of the other.” It was “literally the purpose of why the network was founded,” she said.

“I don’t know what his beliefs are, but what he knew was it would be very profitable,” Williams added. “OK, when you find a fear-based thing like that and you can capitalize on it, in a unique way, no one had ever done this before.”

Williams left the network at the end of 2018. During her almost 4 1/2-year stint, she temporarily co-hosted the “Fox News Specialists” show alongside Eric Bolling, who also parted ways with the network following a sexual misconduct scandal.

This, of course, is in no way surprising but it is good to hear it confirmed by former employees.

I always wonder how men and women of color justify their participation what has now devolved into an outlet for white nationalist propaganda?

I also constantly wonder how any self-respecting woman could still bring themselves to work for what is a hotbed of sexual harassment and abuse?

Or is the key word there “self-respect?”

I think the key words are ambition and money. She may not prosper because of her affiliation with Fox, but I doubt it. I expect she’s got enough in her Fox-past to convince a reluctant future employer to hire her.

Here is the page from the Mueller report referring to Hope Hicks suggesting that the White House should tell Fox News to remove something the president said from the broadcast of a 2017 interview with Maria Bartiromo:

If Mueller is correct, Fox News is literal state-run television

Russian State Media Binges on Fox Prime Time and Sean Hannity Reruns
Russian-owned news channels recently broadcast segments where the Fox News host bashed “media hysteria” and “collusion.”

his upcoming meet-and-greet at Paper Moon strip club in Richmond next month. Some local activists want to put an end to the appearance, citing a violent ultra-nationalist group that often acts as Stone’s security force, the Proud Boys.

Paper Moon projects director Mike Dickinson, who helped book Stone, said he’s not worried about violence at the event. “We have our own security, and Roger Stone’s a professional,” he told The Daily Beast. The “fascist fuck magnet” attack was a reference to the Proud Boys, a far-right brawling group that Stone brings to his events. Stone has previously denied being an outright member in the group, although footage of him from a Proud Boys channel showed him participating in a low-level initiation rite. The event will also be a much-needed financial line for Stone, who is currently crowdfunding his defense in the Mueller case. The Proud Boys have gone to work for Stone on the fundraising front, too, selling shirts that advertise his website.

Dickinson declined to say how much money Paper Moon is giving Stone.

“Let’s just say he’s getting paid a nice amount,”

OT?“I have had reporters say a lot of things about me. They’ve said I should be choked. I should deserve a lifetime of harassment, but certainly never had anybody say I should be decapitated,” said Sanders, providing no evidence for her claims. In fact Sanders’ father, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, has said Ryan should be “gutted like a deer.”
