I’m not handing it to Pat Robertson at all, he’s an awful homophobe, but as someone who has watched a ton of clips from his show…this one from today peaked my interest pic.twitter.com/stEauoywMz

Televangelist Pat Robertson on Tuesday condemned President Donald Trump’s response to nationwide protests over the death of George Floyd and police brutality, saying “you just don’t do that, Mr. President”
His comments come amid criticism of police tactics used to clear out a crowd of peaceful protesters near the White House Monday ahead of Trump’s walk across the square they had been protesting in and photo op in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Trump, who on Monday touted himself as a president of “law and order,” vowed to send US military forces into cities if governors did not quell protests that at times have turned violent. Trump has been condemned by church leaders over the move and his inflammatory rhetoric that has stoked racial tensions.
Robertson, founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network and one-time presidential candidate, spoke about the protests at the beginning of The 700 Club on Tuesday and said now is a time for understanding and comfort.
“It seems like now is the time to say, ‘I understand your pain, I want to comfort you, I think it’s time we love each other,'”Robertson said. “But the President took a different course. He said, ‘I am the “President of law and order,’ and he issued a heads-up.”
Robertson continued. “He said, ‘I’m ready to send in military troops if the nation’s governors don’t act to quell the violence that has rocked American cities.’ A matter of fact, he spoke of them as being jerks. You just don’t do that, Mr. President. It isn’t cool!”
Putting aside how awkward it is to hear Pat Robertson say the word “cool” this is a fairly big deal.
Pat Robertson is known for almost literally inserting the bat shit into “batshit crazy,” so for him to call Trump for his attempts to send the military out to deal with protesters is the kind of thing that might break through to Trump’s base.
So now you can spend your day mulling over the fact that we now live in a world where Pat Robertson is more reasonable than the president of the United States.
And yes, that should scare you.
Another day, same corruption in the trump crime administration, the Democrats are going to be very busy investigation all this after the election

Deputy Treasury Secretary Justin Muzinich has an increasingly prominent role. He still has ties to his family’s investment firm, which is a major beneficiary of the Treasury’s bailout actions.

“Most religious leaders loved it,” Trump told Fox host Brian Kilmeade. “I heard Franklin Graham this morning thought it was great. I heard many other people think it was great, and it’s only the other side that didn’t like it, the opposing — the opposition party, as the expression goes.” “They burned down the church the day before,” – “I heard how nice and wonderful the protesters were over there. Really? Then why did they burned down the church the day before?”

U.S. Park Police on Tuesday released a statement saying they used “smoke canisters.” A reporter at the scene pocketed a canister — a 40mm Skat Shell® OC Round, which according to its manufacturer’s website is “a crowd management tool for the rapid and broad deployment of chemical agent” that is “designed to deliver multiple chemical canisters from a 40mm launcher down range to the intended target zone.”
“Do NOT fire directly at personnel, as serious injury or death may result,” the page warns.
The Park Police statement is correct as long as “tear gas” is strictly defined as “CS” or “CN” agents. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention definition includes a number of chemical agents, such as pepper spray.
According to sales materials on the SkatShell website, one distinction between CS tear gas and the OC round deployed Monday evening is that the OC round has a “more immediate respiratory effect.” – Ingraham later asked Media-Ite to correct its fact-check of her “fact-check.”
political FOOL$ gold… tweeting “SILENT MAJORITY!” , a reference to Nixon’s campaign strategy, on Tuesday.
Trump thought this was exactly the Hail Mary he needed to win re-election. Trump has been desperate for a way to distract the country from the soaring death rate of the coronavirus pandemic (now at 108,000 and counting) and the 40 million left unemployed in the resulting economic collapse. He believed that a racist and sadistic backlash against the protesters was just the ticket.
Violent crackdowns in many places have only made the protests larger, and polling suggests the public is rejecting Trump’s sadism in large numbers.
Trump hasn’t hidden that he feels considerable fondness for the days when Southern police would openly crack skulls, unleash dogs and otherwise violently assault the nonviolent civil rights movement of the ’60s famously led by Martin Luther King Jr. and others, including current Democratic Rep. John Lewis of Georgia.

So all he has to say is this is not cool and the so called base is called off? I wonder if the religious leaders in Hitlers day tried calling off their base back in the day? Was it too late then? Did the fuhrer already get a taste of how wonderful it felt to be able to manipulate the masses and dint want to let go regardless? I think Trump is at that point and we are at the precipice of going that way unless we can recall him and the whole GOP. They are about to turn trumpland into hitler land.
