Emails of Russian officials show how they courted prominent Right Wing groups.

I swear this gets more troubling all of the time.

Courtesy of The Hill Reporter:

A cache of hacked emails revealed that a senior figure in the Bradley Foundation, a prominent financier of right-wing groups in the US, attended a gala alongside Russian oligarchs and officials shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014.

Among the 140 estimated attendees was Dan Schmidt, one of the Bradley Foundation’s Vice Presidents in 2014. The Bradley Foundation is one of the main financiers of right-wing institutions including the Daily Caller News Foundation, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).

Konstantin Malofeev, a Russian oligarch who has since been the target of U.S. sanctions, Alexander Dugin, a prominent Russian fascist, and Igor Shchegov, who was then working as an advisor to President Vladimir Putin, were also among the attendees.

Representatives from the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), an American right-wing homeschooling group, also attended, as did Ted Baehr, chairman of the Christian Film and Television Commission, and Janice Crouse, a former speechwriter for President George H. W. Bush.

Distributed Denial of Secrets released the emails as part of a package which includes communications between Kremlin officials and those charged with carrying out Russian efforts to interfere in U.S. politics.

The 2014 gala is significant as it illustrates a concerted effort from Russian officials to court the American religious right. Among the attendees was Sergei Rudov, who went on to host senior members of the National Rifle Association (NRA) during its trip to Russia the following year. Attendee Alexander Dugin, the high-profile Russian fascist who has previously called for Ukrainians to be “cleansed” and for the killing of protesters in Russia, is also acquainted with white supremacists in the U.S. like Richard Spencer and Matthew Heimbach.

Serious question, why would a home school legal defense group want to hobnob with Russian oligarchs?

As previously reported the NRA was also invited to fly to Russia, and they did.

The National Rifle Association is distancing itself from a controversial December 2015 trip to Moscow by several prominent NRA leaders and members, telling The New York Times on Monday that NRA chief executive Wayne LaPierre “was opposed to the trip” and forbade staff members from going. LaPierre convinced the NRA president at the time, Allan Cors, to drop out of the trip, NRA lawyer William Brewer III said in a statement Wednesday, “in order that the group was not viewed as representing the NRA.”

“Given Mr. LaPierre’s power within the organization, it is unclear how such a trip would have proceeded at all despite his opposition to it,” the Times notes. And in fact, ABC News reports, “internal NRA emails and photos posted on social media” appear to show that the NRA “was significantly involved in planning it.”

“It’s not credible for the NRA to claim that they played no official role in the 2015 Moscow trip,” Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) told ABC News on Tuesday. Wyden is heading one of at least four inquiries into the NRA’s ties to Russia, focused on whether the gun-rights group illegally used Russian money to help President Trump’s campaign and influence the 2016 election. The Moscow trip was organized by Maria Butina, a Russian who pleaded guilty to trying to help Moscow use the NRA to influence American politics, and former NRA President David Keene.

I think at this point it is reasonable to ask if there is anybody in the Right Wing NOT tainted by Russian money?

Are you concerned that due to all this pressure, Trump might snap and start a war?

Bandy X. Lee: His anxieties are palpable, as he resorts to more and more extreme measures and unreal justifications for building a wall. We had the extended shutdown that put us at real security risk, according to the FBI, and declaring a national emergency is a very real possibility.
He needs to maintain his shrinking base as well as to give himself a sense of victory, and he will go to all lengths to achieve it.
the president’s only desperate remaining diversion may be war. Forces around the globe—the Israelis and the Saudis, for example—want that for their own reasons, and with a foreign policy team that now reflects his psychology, times could turn incredibly dangerous. we are now living a situation where a mental health crisis is engulfing the nation, and we scarcely recognize it as a mental health issue.
this experience has revealed the critical importance of presidential fitness—especially mental fitness, since mental pathology can drive a relentless pursuit for power, as well as whip up an irrational, blindly loyal following out of a hunger for adulation. Since we do not screen presidents the way we do military officers and especially those who handle nuclear weapons, the small proportion of dangerously disordered individuals in the population disproportionately attain positions of power and wreak havoc on the world.”
“Do we know how close we are to nuclear war—and a nuclear winter would dwarf the current bitter cold of the arctic vortex”

With the republicans it was never about the people. It was always about lining their pockets. Vlad knew that money was going to buy back russias revenge on america when his country went through that change at the time the berlin wall came down. You see before you a prideful russain who is buying back what he feels his country lost. But wait, theres more. Not only does he buy back what he thinks they lost but vlad now has the united states president in his pocket plus all the key players in the republican party. And even at this moment vlad has his cyber crew working on giving his puppet another four years. One thing the russains learned is that with americans, money talks.

The Lighthouse Fellowship, which is part of the Four$quare Church, a Christian movement founded by evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson in the 1920s.
“God keeps wanting me to serve in government,” “He keeps giving me crazy opportunities in my career. He has told me, ‘I’ve made you a Deborah. I’ve made you a mother to a nation.’ It surprises me that, in His plan, I’m more valuable to His work here than at church. People tell me things they can’t tell their pastor about.
In the Bible, Deborah is a prophet, judge and leader.” “Though emphasizing she avoids being obnoxious, she is still vocal about her Christian identity while at work. That includes leading discipleship groups at work, reading the Bible and discipling people.”
“Dr. Tshibaka will coordinate the efforts of multiple state departments to address safety and well-being issues. This work will include collaborating with students, school districts, tribes, community organizations, non-profits, and families to maximize educational opportunities.”

The press release quotes Education Commissioner Michael Johnson as saying that Tshibaka’s “experience as an attorney, and advocate for a variety of social justice issues, will be critical as we leverage resources across departments, in communities, and in partnership with non-profits, to address the safety and well-being of our students.” le$$ $20million

OT/ Lewis told about 20 other cops during a roll call meeting on Feb. 12, 2017, that if they come across a black homeless person to “just shoot them,” according to many meeting participants who were quoted in the letter obtained by Oregon Live. There was some nervous laughter in the room and another officer said “Oh my god!” Lewis reportedly “laughed, threw his hands in the air and said, ‘Fuck it. What do I care?’”

The reports made by several officers were all slightly different. One officer recalled Lewis saying, “Go out and shoot black people,” while another remembered him saying the remark with slight variations: “If they’re black and homeless shoot them or kill them.”

Why do we never read the truth in the media, e.g. “Representatives from the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), an American right-wing homeschooling group dedicated to undermining public education”…?

Education is the very last thing that homeschooling is about.

“Justice Clarence Thomas threw in a gratuitous passage that seemed designed to cast doubt on the constitutionality of conversion therapy bans. And on Wednesday, a federal magistrate judge seized on this language to recommend striking down Tampa, Florida’s ban on LGBTQ conversion therapy for minors. The seeds that Thomas planted last year have begun to sprout. And they are imperiling laws designed to protect the lives of some of America’s most vulnerable youth.”
“Therapists remain free to discuss conversion therapy with patients and to advocate for it independently. The government targets only a kind of medical practice which—on the basis of mountain of evidence—it believes to be malpractice.
Everyone agrees that the government can prohibit malpractice. And just as doctors can be forbidden from “treating” a broken bone by reciting the Lord’s Prayer, they can be barred from “treating” LGBTQ identity by engaging in discredited coercion.”
