Donald Trump tweets that Democrats cannot “legitimately” win in 2020.

Says the guy who did not legitimately win in 2016.

Keep in mind that Trump used this same tactic during the 2016 race when he was sure he could not win and wanted to call into question the legitimacy of the Clinton presidency.

As for the Democrats being “vicious” I think that Trump was just completely unprepared for what it feels like to be subjected to congressional oversight.

What he really wants is to be able to conduct himself like a dictator without any fear of pushback from co-equal branches of government or scrutiny from the media.

Which is clearly why he has so much respect for a man who oppresses his own people and has dissidents put to death.

Trump has not heaped this much praise on a foreign leader since he was gushing all over Vladimir Putin.

To sum up, American political leaders are vicious cheaters and murderous despots are “capable” and worthy of admiration.

“Stop investigating me, or nothing will get done. The last shutdown could be only the beginning. “If you try to impeach me,” Trump threatened (in effect),
“I’ll impeach you!” ““One party, the Republican Party, has become especially identified with hardball tactics, with large consequences for our constitutional system.”
aka “constitutional beanball” example ““You have another category of hardball which is bad faith hardball,” Shugerman noted, he said, in contrast to the one he calls “transparent hardball.” The Gorsuch confirmation was an example of “good-faith hardball, where Republicans “decided to get rid of the filibuster because they want to get him through, but everyone sees it happening, and it’s not being constructed by a lie,” “Then you can have the blocking of Garland, which is bad-faith hardball. And then you have the Kavanaugh confirmation, which is bad-faith beanball.”” “The destructive politics of beanball reflect a deep existential paranoia, racial status anxiety, and a panic over dispossession and the loss of historical privilege.”

“The American people will reject her dishonest campaign and socialist ideas like the Green New Deal, that will raise taxes, kill jobs and crush America’s middle-class. Only under President Trump’s leadership will America continue to grow safer, secure and more prosperous.”

Of course they can’t legitimately win when he’s already got it set up.

Why can’t I see your entire column? It only shows the photo on F/B, and when you click on the title it only comes to the comments. If I go to your website, it tells me to come to F/B and doesn’t show anything else. Is someone screwing with your site again????

The Democrats in Congress yesterday were vicious and totally showed their cards for everyone to see.
What in the hell is he talking about? He must have missed the Obama years, when the republicans OBSTRUCTED EVERYTHING and made nasty comments about the whole Obama family. Let’s not even talk about Hillary.

The only truth he has told in 3 years, was the 2016 election was rigged, that is why he needs to be impeached and not allowed to run again, this time the russians might actually hack the voting machines and change more votes.

Baby bumkins is now learn what checks and balances means, he got away with all his crimes for two years, now the chickens have come home to roost.

“So there was nothing to de-conflict as long as they were in charge. But the reason I am concerned about it, Chuck, is there has been reporting that when it was alleged that the special counsel had subpoenaed Deutsche Bank, that the president moved to fire Mueller.”
” if the special counsel hasn’t subpoenaed Deutsche Bank, he can’t be doing much of a money laundering investigation. So that’s what concerns me, that that red line has been enforced, whether by the deputy attorney general or by some other party at the Justice Department. But that leaves the country exposed.”
“Mueller, ultimately, his job is to determine who broke the law and who should go to jail. But as we have seen from Bill Barr’s testimony, there is no commitment by this Justice Department under Whitaker and there’s no commitment apparently under Barr, should he be confirmed, to share that evidence with the Congress or the American people, so we need to find it ourselves.”
