Why do I feel he is just limbering up?

President Trump granted clemency to a slew of high-profile individuals Tuesday, including Rod R. Blagojevich, the former Illinois governor who was convicted on corruption charges in 2011 related to trying to sell then-President Barack Obama’s vacated Senate seat, and Bernie Kerik, the former New York police commissioner jailed on eight felony charges, including tax fraud.
Trump is also planning to grant clemency to Michael Milken, who was charged with insider trading in the 1980s, according to a senior administration official.
Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One that he had commuted the sentence of Blagojevich, noting he’d seen Blagojevich’s wife advocate for him on television and that the Democrat had appeared on the Celebrity Apprentice.
“He’ll be able to go back to his family after serving eight years in jail, which was a powerful and ridiculous sentence in my opinion,” Trump said.
Trump’s comments came shortly after the White House announced a pardon for Edward DeBartolo Jr., the former owner of the San Francisco 49ers football team, who pleaded guilty two decades ago for failing to report a felony.
“A ridiculous sentence?”
Trump does realize that there are young black men who are serving up to ten to twenty years in jail for marijuana possession, right?
Gee, I guess if they were able to donate millions to political campaigns or were able to secure a spot on “The Apprentice” they too might have been pardoned.
If you are wondering what all of these newly pardoned criminals have in common here let MSNBC’s Ari Melber clear that up.
Pres. Trump’s new pardons are for well-connected insiders convicted of the *same offenses* Trump and several of his advisers are accused of — serious crimes of extortion, bribery, misleading authorities or abuse of office.

And just in case that was not a big enough hint, here is Trump answering questions earlier today.
Q: “Do you think Roger Stone deserves any prison time?”
President Trump: “You’re going to see what happens.” pic.twitter.com/p94mtAy5tT

Like I said Trump is just limbering up for really important pardons he has planned in the weeks to come.
