At his first meeting with Putin since Robert Mueller’s Russia probe concluded, Trump made light of the robust evidence showing Russia engaged in a “sweeping and systematic” campaign to disrupt the election in Trump’s favor.

After he was asked by reporter if he will talk to Putin about election interference — a topic he failed to mention himself, Trump responded: “Yes, of course I will.”

But he didn’t stop there. He turned to Putin, seated next to him, smiling and pointing his finger in the Russian president’s direction, and said jokingly, “Don’t meddle in the election, president. Don’t meddle in the election.” Putin, after appearing to hear the translation, laughed while Trump grinned.

Putin is working to disrupt elections all over the world and this orange-tinted jackass thinks it’s a fucking joke.

Trump also joked with Putin about getting rid of journalists.

Donald Trump joked with Russian President Vladimir Putin that they should “get rid” of journalists as they met in public at the G-20 conference of world leaders in Osaka, Japan. Indicating toward the journalists in the room, Trump said, “Get rid of them. Fake news is a great term, isn’t it? You don’t have this problem in Russia but we do.” Putin responded, in English: “We also have. It’s the same.” It has been reported that 21 journalists have been killed in Russia since Putin came to power in March 2000. Trump’s remarks come a year to the day that a gunman killed five people at the Annapolis Capital-Gazette in Maryland.

Somebody tell me again that these two are not working together.

At least the British Prime Minister displayed the proper emotional response to meeting Putin at the G20.

I think the people of Britain can rest assured that there are no late-night phone calls happening between these two.

Donald Trump “didn’t actually win.” “He lost the election and was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf,” he said during a panel event hosted by The Carter Center.

When asked whether he believes Trump is an illegitimate president, Carter suggested that he does.

“Based on what I just said, which I can’t retract,” he said to laughter and applause.

LOL, he thinks that his numbers on twitter went down because they are making it harder to join, more likely is they “terminated” all the russian bots and trolls.

He also sent an invite to meet Kim at the DMZ to shake his hand and say hello, by twitter. Sure hope he brings flowers and chocolate. Just when you think he can’t embarrass himself more, he does it again

Trump joked with Putin about election meddling and getting “rid” of journalists.

Rather also criticized Trump’s praise at the summit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for doing a “spectacular job” and his tweeted offer to meet North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un at the Korean Peninsula’s demilitarized zone for a handshake.

“History is watching through all this,” Rather warned, later adding: “The president is praising almost any autocrat he can find.”
