President Trump said Sunday that he is “strongly considering” a full pardon for his former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

“So now it is reported that, after destroying his life & the life of his wonderful family (and many others also), the FBI, working in conjunction with the Justice Department, has ‘lost’ the records of General Michael Flynn,” he tweeted.

“How convenient. I am strongly considering a Full Pardon!” he added.

Flynn pleaded guilty in December 2017 for lying to the FBI about his communications with the Russian ambassador.

I think that Trump realizes his days as president are likely numbered so why not start pardoning the people who might be called as witnesses against him in a future criminal trial?

It makes sense.

By the way if the Justice Department actually lost Flynn’s files, which would be highly unusual, they most certainly lost them at the behest of Donald Trump.

And yes, that is very convenient.
