Donald Trump identifies another Obama policy as “the greatest idea I think I’ve ever had.”

Remember Donald Trump makes nothing, he only rebrands things that others make as his own.

Courtesy of Fortune:

Ahead of the 2018 midterm elections, President Donald Trump has boasted about a veterans healthcare law several times at his political rallies, at one time even calling it “the greatest idea I think I’ve ever had.”

The problem with Trump’s claim is that President Barack Obama passed the law in 2014.

Called the Veterans Choice Program, the bipartisan measure was signed into law by President Obama on August 7, 2014. The groundbreaking legislation was well-documented by the news media, of course, in no small part because the $16.3 billion bill was specifically designed to help overhaul the Department of Veterans Affairs. Throughout 2014 and well before that year, the VA was plagued with criticisms about everything from long wait times for basic health care and services to the manipulation of records.

It’s true that since taking office, Trump has continued the program that Obama initiated. President Trump also expanded the Veterans Choice Program by signing the bipartisan VA MISSION Act, which funded Veterans Choice for another year until it can be consolidated with existing care systems to create one cohesive program.

But Trump’s claims at his rallies, ranging from boasts that the Veterans Choice Program was his idea to claiming that passing the legislation was something no other president was able to do, are incorrect.

I am going to make this point over and over until my fingers cramp and I can no longer type it out.

The economy that Donald Trump, and the Republicans, are bragging about is the result of policies by the Obama Administration.

The protections for preexisting conditions that they claim they are fighting to preserve were put into place by Obamacare, and the Republicans fought against them tooth and nail.

And now this VA healthcare law becomes the latest thing that Obama accomplished for which Trump wants to take the credit.

Which is something that we simply must not allow.

Trump supporters are as dumb as fuck, so convincing them that Trump is a lying POS does no good, but there are people who are simply not paying attention who might believe that Trump actually accomplished something.

He hasn’t.

At least not anything that really benefits Americans who are not in the 1%.

We need to stay vigilant and push back everytime that we see Trump taking credit for hard-fought accomplishments by the Obama Administration. Or when we hear the media allowing those statements to go out to the public unchallenged.

Trump sure does like to ride Obama’s coattails and take credit.

I would like a journalist to ask these trump supporters that claim trump has done so much for this country to name one positive thing he has done.

Everything he brags about is something he either has no control over ( jobs, stock market) or is a result of Obama’s policies ( economy).

Too bad no one ever corrects him

That has annoyed me since Don the Con was a candidate and no one asked him how he was going to accomplish all of his “pie in the sky” ideas. No one asks follow up questions, whether in his rare interviews or his rarer encounters with more than one hand-picked reporter. No one ever tries to pin Don the Con or his GOP cohorts on any issue; no one ever forces them to take a past statement and explain it more fully or defend it in the face of its obvious falsity. This is what the media is supposed to do. We ordinary people have no access to any of these GOP politicians and we depend on the media to ferret out the truth or, in the case of Don the Con and his GOP pals, the dishonesty of their positions.

Yes, also all of a sudden they don’t want to take away preexisting conditions from the ACA, we know they are lying. why doesn’t someone ask them, so why did you change your mind, you were all for it eliminating it a few weeks ago.. let them stumble through the answer.

I really would be insulted if I was a republican, they think all their constituents are too stupid not to see through their lies.

Trump Justifies Holding Rally with Fake Facts

October 28, 2018 at 9:56 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

President Trump defended holding a campaign rally last night, hours after 11 people had been murdered in a Pittsburgh synagogue.

With what happened early today, that horrible, horrible attack in Pittsburgh, I was saying maybe I should cancel both this and that. And then I said to myself, I remembered Dick Russell, a friend of mine, great guy, he headed up the New York Stock Exchange on September 11th, and the New York Stock Exchange was open the following day. He said — and what they had to do to open it you wouldn’t believe, we won’t even talk to you about it. But he got that exchange open. We can’t make these sick, demented, evil people important.

However, as the Washington Post reports, the stock markets “never opened for trading the morning of the attacks and were closed until Sept. 17 — the longest shutdown since 1933.”

And Dick Grasso was the head of the New York Stock Exchange. Dick Russell “was a senator from Georgia, known as a fierce defender of segregation.”

Funny, I don’t remember he had a thing to do with 9/11 except claiming he saw the towers fall from his office in Trump Tower which is virtually impossible.
        Tell us another, turd.

        • Anonymous October 28, 2018 at 1:45 pm

And that trump tower was now the tallest building in NYC.

Don the Con has shown us who he is time and time again, he cares only about himself, so why even bother to expect anything different.

Let’s keep reminding him of the tax cut for the RICH, republicans don’t want to talk about it because their base is beginning to figure out they got screwed.

    • Anonymous October 28, 2018 at 9:10 am

What fries me is that he’s expected to be re-elected 2020. You have to be effing kidding me…….
Yeah, 8:56 AM, wait until taxes come due next year and the year after. My state taxes alone went up $350.00 this year.

For heaven’s sake, don’t tell Trump that Obama did it. He won’t rest until he screws it up.

  6. Anonymous October 28, 2018 at 10:34 am

“Watching the Dodgers/Red Sox final innings,” Trump wrote in his tweet. “It is amazing how a manager takes out a pitcher who is loose & dominating through almost 7 innings, Rich Hill of Dodgers, and brings in nervous reliever(s) who get shellacked.

“4 run lead gone. Managers do it all the time, big mistake!”

Roberts looked surprised to hear the president had weighed in when asked by a reporter about the tweet in a post-game press conference.

“The president said that?” he said.

“I’m happy he was tuning in and watching the game. I don’t know how many Dodgers games he’s watched. I don’t think he was privy to the conversation.

    “That’s one man’s opinion.”

  7. Anon October 28, 2018 at 4:05 pm

Everyone must call out the lying radical republiCONs for flip flopping like carp. These evil freaks cannot get away with their lying and hateful agenda I hope the next week is in their face and calling them out on every media channel, internet and newspapers. VOTE THEM OUT

  8. Anon October 28, 2018 at 5:34 pm

    i think {NOT}

““They probably will never give it to me, even what I’m doing in Korea and Idlib province and all of these places,” Trump said.
“They probably will never give it to me. You know why? Because they don’t want to.””

  9. Anonymous November 3, 2018 at 5:06 pm

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

If it’s good, the Republicans will take credit for it. If it’s bad, they’ll blame the Democrats. Doesn’t really matter who is really responsible.

Just part of the hypocrisy, double standard and LIES that Republicans tell.
