This was once again a little peek into the insane asylum that rampages around in Trump’s brain.
As usual, almost every word he uttered was cringeworthy, but we have become so numb to all this that it will receive scant attention.
For instance, Trump claimed that he did not even know the guy that he hired to replace Jeff Sessions.

Days after appointing Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general and assuring the country that he was capable replacement for the ousted Jeff Sessions, President Donald Trump Friday claimed not to know his new Justice Department chief.
“I don’t know Matt Whitaker,” Trump said just before departing for France to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. “Matt Whitaker has a great reputation, and that’s what I wanted.”
Trump’s remarks directly contradicted comments he made a month ago when he heaped praise on Whitaker.
“I can tell you Matt Whitaker’s a great guy,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News. “I mean, I know Matt Whitaker.”
That, of course, is a lie as Trump has had multiple contacts with Whitaker.
Besides who in the hell appoints somebody to such an important job, without getting to know them first?
Trump also argued that the controversial Info Wars video suggesting that Jim Acosta grabbed that female White House staffer was not doctored.
Courtesy of Newsweek:
Speaking with reporters outside the White House on Friday, the U.S. leader said, “They gave a close-up. That’s not doctored,” according to CNBC Washington correspondent Eamon Javers, without explaining further.
In fact, a number of experts asserted that the footage, which showed Acosta refusing to hand over a microphone to an intern during a heated exchange with Trump, had been sped up, making it appear as if Acosta forced the intern’s arm down as she moved to grab the mic.
The video also removed audio of Acosta saying “Pardon me, ma’am,” during the incident.
Of course, it was doctored, but lying and manipulating facts are what this White House is all about.
Trump also defended pulling Acosta’s White press credentials and suggested others might lose theirs as well.

Defending his decision to revoke a CNN reporter’s White House press pass, President Donald Trump said Friday he may take the same action against other reporters who have questioned his administration.
“It could be others also,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
Trump said he pulled the pass of CNN’s Jim Acosta because “he’s a very unprofessional guy,” and he singled out April Ryan of American Urban Radio Networks as another potential target.
“She’s very nasty, and she shouldn’t be,” Trump said.
Finally, I will mention that Trump also responded to questions about Michelle Obama’s new book.
Courtesy of CNN:
President Donald Trump pushed back at former first lady Michelle Obama and former President Barack Obama over a forthcoming memoir in which the former first lady said she would “never forgive” Trump for his role in the “birther” movement.
“She got paid a lot of money to write a book and they always expect a little controversy,” Trump said.
“I’ll give you a little controversy back, I’ll never forgive (President Barack Obama) for what he did to our US military. It was depleted, and I had to fix it,” Trump said. “What he did to our military made this country very unsafe for you and you and you.”
Oh, he made it unsafe? That is quite a thing to say one day after yet another mass shooting, and after the 307th mass shooting in the last 311 days.
I would typically warn Trump not to mess with Michelle Obama, but I really cannot imagine the women in this country being any angrier than they already are with him.
I am so fucking tired of this asshole that I am almost wishing for something terrible to happen to him to take us out of our misery.
Does that make me a bad guy?
